MGR OEM is DSD1006301PMA at £247 from Rimmer Bros.

It would cost more for a Chinese Copy from mine.

Surely those wheels are the MGR optional 16in Multispoke. Quite common. I have 5 outside.

Yes,so true. My £48:50 CD from MGR lives in this lapTop and travels with me.
As a 'Retired Professional' then you may think that I would not require a Manual, but then I am the first person to pick one up.

Re: Fan Belt

I have a how to on my website if anyone is inetrested http://www.abdn.ac.uk/~sur188/MGF/Alternator/ But Lisa has AC which has a different set up. As Adrian says, simply release the tensioner wheel and adjust the jacking screw. The important detail is to have the correct tension. viz. Deflection of ...

Re: HOw tos.

There are many sites with excellent 'How Tos' and some very amateurish to keep away from.
If you are interested in learning how to work on an 'F', then a good Workshop manual either hard copy or CD is the only way to go. It is also the safest and cheaper to do it right first time.

Re: Fan Belt

Plastic plugs have been common on car radiators for more than 40 years. If you cross thread the plastic plug when fitting it, then you buy a new plug. With a steel plug, then you buy a new radiator. In addition, if the plug/radiator corrode, then the boss in the radiator will come out with the plug ...

Re: oil cooler vs. oil radiator

The B&G kit IIRC fits on the LH rear of the radiator. It includes SS pipes and a Thermostat valve at £220. The AC cooler is also on th LH side therefore they did a kit to fit it on the RH. Having told them my car Spec with full automatic steptronic, they quoted and booked my car in and I brought it ...

Re: oil cooler vs. oil radiator

Is the oil 'Hotter' or 'Too Hot' ?? With Steptronic and AC and hard driving then I regularly get 150. It may be an indicator problem however Mobil1 has a 210 Spec.

Re: oil cooler vs. oil radiator

Is the 'oil cooler' in the engine bay to 'cool the oil' or to assist in warming the coolant from a cold start.?? My experts considered the latter. The parts cost of this may be 3 times that of the front oil cooler BUT fhe engine was 'dressed' before fitting into the car making it VERY difficult to f...

Re: Fan Belt

If you are going to remove the wheel and closing panel to adjust it, then you may as well replace it whilst you are in there.
The AC Belt has a much shorter life than the normal. NB. It is also a different longer belt.

First requirement is to know your way around Melbourne which we may qualify for but 2010 is too early as the next Match is not until 2011. Our plans are to visit dear friends in Melbourne then move on to NZ where we lived for 4 years but a Match or several is an added attraction. Particularly the Fi...

The head is Pressure Tested to check for porosity. No amount of machining can remove this.
