Have someone depress the clutch whilst you measure the slave piston movement. I cannot give you a good dimension as mine is Steptronic but somebody can.

Jack the car up and look for an obvious leek If none, then next, local members will tell you of a garage with hydraulic equipment. Visit or trailer. There are plenty of Pre 2000 cable driven speedos on E-Bay or from MG F Breakers. in the UK. Post 2000 are electronic and no good for you.

The better buy is the BMW built Mk 2 Fs before it was taken over by the Consortium who stripped it of many things that we know and probably more that we do not know of. The only time that our fan came on was slow speed, high power up Swiss Mountains at above 30 Deg ambient. I fitted a switch and a couple of solenoids so that at the bottom of the hill, the HRW switch turned the fan ON . All Cool. This kept the Auto run on with ignition off. Geoff.F Hi Geoff, could ...
