Re: Limited Edition MGTF 160
Two UK LEs that year - cool blue (these were, unsurprisingly, blue, with blue alcantara seats - although other exterior colours of silver and anthracite), and the SunStorm. The VIN should provide useful information to confirm the identity of the car. More on the models can be found here and on the r...

Martin, are you sure?
But yes, has to be done hasn't it? It's one of those iconic brands of the noughties to my mind.
BTW, who does own this brand that the Phoenix four spent so much money promoting so effectively?

Re: mike satur roll hoops
I have the Mk1 X-Power hoops - and on these you need to remove them to take of the engine cover. For the Mk1, this really isn't difficult - just a couple of bolts. I think a similar situation exists for the Mk2, but given that it is burried under the T-bar, it is probably a bit of extra hastle... Gi...

Re: Can anybody explain this ??
When I bought my 135 at the end of 04 there “road tax” was a hardly noticeable £10 more then the 160, last year it cost me £235. I understand the MGR managed to get 135 into a lower tax band (just) by changing the engine map. Due to original map being quite poor I had the new one downloaded to the ...

Not sure what the postage will be, but they don't weigh much; the packaging will weigh more! Drop me a P...

Could we celebrate this as part of the Zed register event Colin? Seems a shame not to mark the arrival of this remarkable MG sub-brand.

So a problem with the car then. If you've access to a multimeter, you can see what's live and what's not.

Re: Coolant temperature sensor.
Fair enough As you say, it may well pass without the cat - worth a go. MoT doesn't specify that a cat must be present, only that the car passes the emissions test. Another classic chism between vehicle homologation and the annual MoT test - and long may it remain

Re: Which spark plugs?
Flew in their in 1998 to meet up with friends before the handover. That was one fun approach for the pilots! Been back a few times since (the outlaws are all based out there and in Macau) - still has that 'familiar' feel to it - although the accents have changed a bit, and the buses are now trilingu...

Sounds like an invitation too good to miss Rick!
Hope you can keep us posted on your car's history. You mention that it has a TF rear suspension? I presume that the front is also TF? Or has it got hydragas still?

We all like Trophys! If I had bought one new, I think I'd have gone for the near black-coloured version, but now, I think either red or the Trophy blue would be rather good
