Re: Exhaust note adjustment

My thoughts exactly, as much as I would love to have a loud exhaust I don't want to see another MG owner out of pocket.

Still on the car at the moment and went through the mot this summer.
I haven't been under the car since but will try to get some photos if you like.

Re: wet wet wet

There is a join to the rear wings under the rubber seal which is also prone to leakage.
I can send a pic if you like?

Re: HELP!!!

That is odd, not sure what else to suggest mate.
If I think of anything I'll let you know.
Hopefully someone else might come up with a solution in the meantime.
I don't suppose you have left the door cards off?

Re: HELP!!!

Just had another thought after having a look at mine.
Unlock the doors and with the window down push on the door and then using the internal door handle try to open the door.

Re: HELP!!!

Not sure on that but sounds like it might just be the pressure on the catch not allowing it to release.
Could try pushing hard on the door as if you're trying to close it and then try to unlock with the remote?

Re: HELP!!!

Bit late but should of fixed the hinge bushes first!
Other than brute force not sure what to suggest.
Could perhaps try to get one person outside to try and lift the door to get clearance on the striker plate while another person pushes with feet or shoulders from the inside?

Re: Leaking Window

I would replace the hinge bushes first, see how it sits before adjusting the striker plate. Next align the window and see how much of a gap you have after everything is straight.
No point in filling in gaps till then.
Good luck though as it is an easy job but can be time consuming.

Re: Leaking Window

This guide may help.

Also may want to check the door hasn't dropped.
Mike Satur sell replacement bushes to help fix this.

Re: How could you break this car!!

Interesting, the guy mentioned it was a 135 which doesn't match either.
He did mention it was bought with the Trophy bits on it so the rebuild is a possibility.

Re: How could you break this car!!

It's actually only a 135, apparently number 4 piston has gone.
Rest of the car looks pretty clean though.

Re: How could you break this car!!

Have asked what went on the engine as he said he may sell the whole car. Even if it needs an engine swap surely worth saving a Trophy?

Re: LED bulbs

LED's in general draw less so I doubt you would exceed the max for the circuit.
Can't think what the rating is for side lights.
If everything on the circuit doesn't exceed the ampage of the fuse you should be okay though.
