Re: changing oil rail without breaking hg seal

Regardless of the issues you have with Plezier I am sure there are many on this forum that would welcome your view on how braided hoses should be routed.

There should be room for disagreement on the forum.

and No I am not taking sides.

From a previous post... "The new Toyo's are made in Malasia and don't mix well with Japanese Toyo's.. I think its an ongoing thing..It's only an issue if the new Malaysian Toyos are fitted on the rear with Japanese Toyos on the front...all other configurations should be fine...I spoke to Toyo Tech D...

Re: Satur Slick Shift??

A vast improvement over my original LE500 shift..you may decide to cut an inch or so off the stick though to improve it still further...works better than fine...more like a flex of the wrist type change rather than the whole arm movement...and feels much more precise...one of the must have improveme...

Re: Central locking and immobiliser

Yes. I agree it's the intermittency of it that gets you...it should either work or not..but thems the micro switches for you...must admit I went with a new one...Coz you just know it's only a matter of time before it goes again...!.. :-)

Re: fitting new damper bolts [10.9 ]

Anyone know where to get these MG Motors TF parts as opposed to MGRover parts? B&G, Rimmers and MGOC don't seem to supply them unless I'm looking at the wrong pages. Rimmers can supply them....they aren't able to display the MG Motors UK parts pages because of licensing issues so you can't order au...

Re: Which tyres to buy?

I can't speak to that exact configuration but when I had new Toyos on the rear and old GSD2s on the front it was awful...always best to have the same all round but you may be lucky..the Vredesteins may play well with the Toyos but it's likely they may not IMO...

Re: Which tyres to buy?

Certainly simpler to get the Falkens...less faffing around ensuring that you get the right Toyo country of manufacture...they are officially recommended and a number of members have reported they are satisfied with Falkens...

Re: Which tyres to buy?

I've always used Toyo T1Rs but always on TFs with 16" wheels, if you go for Toyos I've read that they are now manufactured in Malaysia not Japan & due to changes in compound they are not compatible so make sure you get 4 Jap or 4 Malayan produced tyres with XL rated for the rear of course. Mixing t...
