Different tyres

Don't want to reopen debate about what make of tyres to use just a question to why the fronts have to be 195 and the rear 215 on the MGF? I'm only reading from the maintenance manual so don't kill me if I'm wrong! Also if I have 215 all round is that a problem and what difference will I feel when dr...

When mine comes on you can feel the vibration within the car itself and the pedals. It's also quite noisy :thumbsu:

Yeah I'll be interested to know too. I thought the one on dash was for low oil level. Is there another one?

Alloy cleaner

Can anyone recommend a good cleaner/polisher for BLACK alloys?
The stuff I got is fine for chrome alloys but seems to leave a smear on my new black ones.

Re: WANTED ASAP MGOC “F” exhaust

I'm replacing my F one for a stainless steel one in the next month or so so will have the old one as spare. Nothing wrong with it as far as I can see, although not been taken off yet. Only replacing it as I wanted an upgrade. The F is a 2001 model but only done 14,000 miles. I'm located in Swindon i...

16 spoke chrome 16" alloys for sale

I have my 16" 16 spoke chrome alloys for sale that I've just taken off my MGF. They are in superb condition with no kerbing at all. All 4 have Goodyear tyres on them with 3 of them having 5mm of tread and the last one having 3mm of tread. One has slight mark on rim near tyre but literally it's me be...

Thanks for the tips guys. They're moulded sort of material so guess they must be plastic, certainly not metal :thumbsu:

They are bare material so shall I undercoat them first? And after top coats is there need for like a top clear finishing coa...

MGF front brake calipers for sale £25

This pair came off my low mileage (14,000) MGF as I replaced them with red trophy style ones so now these are surplus to requirements. In very good condition as seen by these pictures £25 the pair plus postage (can be collected from Swindon or POL in a couple of weeks) https://farm1.staticflickr.com...

Re: Which HT leads?

If you're buying new leads I can highly recommend Magnecor leads. They're not cheap, but made a great difference to my F VVC when it was hesitating under acceleration and have now fitted to my TFs. I second this as I fitted them recently too, also had them made in red not like that made a differenc...
