Thanks guys. I'll check out eBay for a set.
Of course most sellers are surprised when someone from Canada is bidding on their items.

Locking wheel nut - which replacement?
I am missing one factory locking wheel nut. Does anyone sell these individually? How do I know which one I need? I can't see a code on the locking wheel nut key.

Re: what collor would you like best for your car!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had read that. I guess this one must have received a good coat of paint. There are no signs of a respray and the paint is in very good condition.Stan_B wrote:Amaranth is a pretty colour, but I remember from the buying guide it is one of the poorest at protecting the shell.

Ain't that the truth Rich, the fun has only begun here in Canada!Rich in Vancouver wrote:That's the beauty of our 15 year import rule. You UK guys are at the tail end of MGF/TF excitement but for us it's only just begun.
Cheers,
Rich
I was planning to buy a BRG F but I ended up buying one in Amaranth instead.
New owner
I joined the forum a few weeks ago with the hope of soon owning a F. I am please to announce that I bought a 1995 MGF yesteday. It's N398PUT and Amaranth in colour. The body is in excellent condition, no signs of corrosion in the sills near the rear tires. But I have no information on if the head ga...

Did you push the pistons back into the caliper? A C-clamp can be use to help move the pistons back into the caliper.

Re: Tyres
Hmmm, I'm not sure I completely agree with Geoff's comment. I had 8 year old tires on my MGBGT, which has lots of tread, but the rubber was no longer soft and pliable. Even on damp roads I would loose traction. I bought a new set of tires and it was like night and day. The old tires were worn out ev...

Re: MGF & E10
Thanks Kasper. I too will be interested in what you learn. Hoses are easy to upgrade, but when you have to start worrying about injector seals or the like it becomes more of a concern. I live in Canada's "chemical valley", which is surrounded by corn fields and has one of the countries largest ethan...

Re: MGF & E10
Hi Rich,
I was hoping that you would chime in. I'm thinking rubber fuel lines will be the ones to watch to deterioration. I know on my lbcs that I replace fuel lines every fuel years due to cracking and leaking. Hopefully high pressure fuel injection lines won't need replacing.

MGF & E10
I'm thinking of buying a MGF since the oldest ones are over 15 yrs old, and it is now possible to import them into Canada. Where I live all fuel has a maximum of 10% ethanol. I remember the "fun" I went through with my 73 MGBGT and 80 Spitfire when they first experienced E10 gasoline: rubber gaskets...

Another HI from Canada
Hi everyone. I’m new to this board but have owned a MGBGT for 13 years and have been interested in MGFs for almost as long. This past summer a friend visited from England with his MGTF and was fortunate to spend an afternoon in the passenger seat. Since then I have been thinking about how to get one...
