Good question. I remember fitting 4 pot Metro brakes to a Mini I was doing up for my son a long time ago. Not knowing the answer to your question, I would think the radius of the calipers to fit a small disc would prevent them fitting properly on a larger disc. Saying that, I've got MS "big" brakes ...

It's hard to tell without looking at it, but if it has been re-sprayed, the seal may not be pushed back in properly on that side. Try looking at the other side seal to compare. None of the hard top clips can be moved about. The hard top needs to reference itself with the front clips before you start...

Put mine on last week after removing the soft top. I took a bit more care this time. I hooked up the front first, and looked where the rear support brackets were in relation to the hood brackets. Firstly, you can adjust the car bracket sideways with washers to end up directly under the hardtop brack...

The head is Pressure Tested to check for porosity. No amount of machining can remove this. Geoff F. Absolutely right. Skimming is only "necessary" if the head is warped after severe overheating. It may not need skimming at all. Worse still is the softening of the alloy which may lead to liner marki...
