Re: MGoT North Weald Today

Other than spin?.....twice!! Morning was spent taking a sweeping L/H bend at around 60. Sounds easy......wasn't if you wanted to push it and were a complete novice! You could take it 50-55 with no thought whatsoever. Trying @ 60+ you have to balance the steering and throttle in relation to the rear ...

Re: MGoT North Weald Today

All in all a fantastic day out and talk amongst ourselves of organising another.
Either by trying to twist MGoT for an extra date or going direct to the company based at North Weald itself.

Go on Ken, add your name to the list. And Lord Tolly for that matter!

Re: MGoT North Weald Today

So many beautiful cars to see too.
Including a gorgeous red MBG Hardtop, RV8 (driven very enthusiastically by its friendly owner) and this monster below belonging to Dave Pearce the organiser.

Never seen one before myself then Dave advised me only 80 were ever built!

Re: MGoT North Weald Today

Think these are all from the afternoon session when the weather was better.
Last one showing my car running in the afternoon, temps all stable.

MGoT North Weald Today

Well...
There is a lot more grip on the front wheels than the rear

Best to learn these things away from public roads!

Re: One shot windows both sides...

I'm interested in doing this for my 2002 TF.
Currently there does not seem to be any one shot function at all, not even drivers side.
Was it an optional extra or is it more likely a fault somewhere?

Unless I'm not operating it correctly of course ;)

How is it activated normally?

Aye, agreed :D
For us both to turn up we need to arrange moving Wendy's work commitments and our child care.
For me to turn up we need to arrange either Wendy's work or our child care.

Re: Roof Question

The owners handbook says you are supposed to unzip it prior to opening and it just lowers onto the rear behind the drivers head. It stays attached to the frame at the bottom so it's not actually removed from the car. After speaking to a few members who have had their cars for years, they say they do...

Re: Hi to all in the register and advice on purchasing.. F o

Cheers Ken, I whipped the front wheels off today for a scrub up. Checked the pads and all that, grease nipples suggest they were recently used. Also spray greased the gear linkages at the box end which has made a noticeable difference to the shift. Looks like a driveshaft boot has let a bit of greas...

Hi nigelandjo, is a shiny one thats for sure, the camera was no good for the available light. I am a recently joined member so will sort out the form ASAP. Weather? Really? We've done 100 miles just driving for the sake of it! Another 80 to and back from Ken's tommorow then out to Braintree for a pa...

You can run but you can't hide Lord Tolly.
You will be a Tolly/Dolly owner again, trust me.
Ken is Triumph free at the moment but that won't last!

It's a habit that just can't be kicked!
