Re: ER15

I have been looking at routes for the ER15 drive and have come up with the following: ER1 - 150 miles around Essex, starting at the Halfway House and ending at the Dick Turpin. I think this is too long, but I wanted to give the option. Halfway point would be Walton on the Naze. total driving time is...

Re: Is the "F" a sports car (to you)?

Poor brakes, dodgy seating, suspect handling, iffy build quality - sounds like a 50's Ferrari, or an E Type Jag or a 70s/80's Aston Martin. I dare anyone to say they are not sports cars. Twenty year old cars cannot be judged on modern standards. In the day, the F received great right ups from all of...

Re: Wheel Meet Again - 15 September 2013

Not at all - it's not that kind of event. The 'ratted' VDub Beetles and Campers got a lot of attention last year, particularly the camper with one of the Gladiator helmets worn by Russell Crowe welded to the roof!

Re: Wheel Meet Again - 15 September 2013

It is a really good show held on the playing fields of one of the schools in Stortford. Sponsored by the local dealer network, they tunr up with all their new models for the public to climb over and sit in, and in another field are the classics. Real eclectic gathering - last year there was a fantas...

Re: Quay for my car 2nd Aug?

I've done this a couple of times in the past (have family in Poole). It's good fun, but the same cars seem to win every year.

Great evening with friends old and new. Well done Ken for getting the group up and running - only 22 miles from home as well.

Re: A Herts/North London Region?

As a Hertfordshire refugee in the Essex Roadsters, I had better come along and pledge my allegiance to the reformed Herts Wheels (or a new name). Might still have one of the old badges kicking around. See you Monday then.

Re: Thames Bridges & Tunnels Charity Road Run - 7th Septembe

I need to find myself a navigator - Trish doesn't want to do the run this time. The twists and turns and cobbled section really caused her back a problem. So having said previously that good communication with your navigator is essential, I had better find myself one to communicate with!

If registered the group for 12 cars and they will try and give us a block instead of a row.

ER15

Managed to catch up with Kieron yesterday and we chatted about doing something for ER15. His problem is one of time - to much at work, not enough with family, so he would be grateful if the wider membership could plan something, which I said I thought we would. On Thursday there was a little discuss...

Re: London Bridges & Tunnels Charity Road Run - 7th Septembe

Booked and plate ordered - looking forward to this already. If the last one was anything to go by it will be an excellent afternoon/evening. Adrian sets quite a challenging route, so the communication with your navigator needs to be spot on - plus a satnav switched to map is handy because the street...

Wheel Meet Again - 15 September 2013

The annual show at St Mary's School, Bishop's Stortford takes place on the 15th September. I know from this evenings conversation that some of you are planning to meet up with European F'ers that evening, but for those who aren't add your names and plate to the list and I'll sort out registration. W...

Re: MGF Tyres

Have to agree with Adrian, Colin and Neil - i had 28000ish out of a set of rear toyos and 30000ish out of a set of fronts. At the time my car was used as a daily runner, travelling throughout Essex and East Anglia for work as well as trips over to the continent. It is important to have the wheel geo...

Re: Bits for Sale

Could you photocopy actual size and post? Eh No. It is approx 400 x800 and I only have an A4 Scanner. I will dig it out and either draw it up on A4 or see if I can find a sheet of plastic to make a duplicate before MG Live. Geoff F. Hi Geoff, Any joy with the boot rack template? Thanks, I'll let you know when it has arrived. I'll take the rack and case to Silverstone and let Nigel May have it to bring back to Burnham.
