Re: Why is..

I suspect a major consideration for the manufactures is the likely sales, the MGF owner is perceived to be cloth cap and pipe, or lady or hairdresser, not in the same ball parks as spotty saxo owners or wanna be racing driver lotus owners.

We us Tradex who give us a policy on all 5 MGs. When the policy started they took both our NCB's and applied them to the overall package.

Re: 2 similar VVC's

Yes, as Chris rightly says, these two cars are either side of the EU3 emissions reg that came into force in Jan 2001. Both are MEMS 3, but the earlier car has more in common with the Mk1 MGF - particularly with respect to the inlet and exhaust design. Are you sure both are MEMS3, I thought to run M...

You'll be able to pop the part numbers into Rimmers search engine to find out what each part is.

Bad advice TBH, every time piece I've seen so far this morning has changed automatically.

Re: replaceing arial

Access to the base is through the enginebay so not too hard. The biggest problem is what they have done to the cable.

If you are really lucky they may have just changed the whip which is easy as they just screw into the base.
