Re: Rubber or Poly Bushes???

All great advices guys, thank you. I'm particularly interested that different colours have different rigidity or elasticity............... where did I dig those words from!! ;-) If this is the case...................it sounds like I'd do well to get Blue poly bushes from Powerflex?? Should have gone...

Re: Fitting 52mm throttle body

That's great info, thank you.

If it stops raining, I'll uncover the Red Rocket and go through those steps.

I take it you mean that you would have left the TPS that was on the 52mm body..?

Re: Fitting 52mm throttle body

No, I've done nothing............

I've just taken the old plastic body off and simply replaced it for the 52 alloy one.

I wasn't sure if the TPS was set to the throttle body or the car (or both!)

So..... what needs doing and how do I do the stepper reset?

Rubber or Poly Bushes???

Hi All, My F has the usual rot in the middle of the 'A' section on the front lower arms, so, as the subframe needs dropping to change them I'm gradually collecting all the bits needed to do a complete front subframe change using a whole new running gear and I intend to get a subframe nicely powder c...

Re: Fitting 52mm throttle body

Hi All, Thank you so much for this thread guys as I was going to start one because.... Last summer in the best interest of plastic recycling, I slapped on a Delorto 52mm. (I'm not sure I remember what vehicle it came from if it makes a difference) To date, I've left the air intake the same on the ba...

Re: battery

A further note on this if it helps........ In 32 years of driving I've had several instances where a battery has been flattened due to something being switched on when the engine isn't running. Assuming that battery and alternator are in good condition a 20 minute drive is enough to put enough char...

Hi All,

Not able to make this, but is this a regular occurrence?

Being only in Shaftesbury, it's nice and local!

Re: battery

A further note on this if it helps........ If a battery is low enough not to start the car, it MUST be taken off an bench charged. If not, it WILL let you down again at some point. This is because a car that needs a bump start or jump start would need to be driven over 500 miles to get the battery b...

Re: OBD Socket

I'd consider one, as always it will be price dependant. HOWEVER................. I have a very good contact for a PCB manufacturer her in the South West, and they would also do the unit build. I have personal experience as I used to do some consultancy work for them. They also have a very good under...

Re: ABS Light Staying on!

Yes.... atempting to remove my exisitng ones was right at the end of my list!! ;-) But, I think I might just get her up in the air with all her boots off and get the sensor bolts soaking in antisipation, or should I say trepidation of having to remove them!

Re: ABS Light Staying on!

Hi Rob, Thanks for the update.... I'm really interested in Phil's update as apart from my situation, it's something I'd like to be more up to speed on.... having donemy Mechanical City & Guilds back in the mid 80's.... ironically, we never covered it ;-) On the the ABS front, I can't see any obvious...

Re: ABS Light Staying on!

Cheers Ash,

I've had one go at the multi-plug on the pump, but it's always worth another go!

I'll also research what the changes were on the pumps, thanks for the advice.

Re: ABS Light Staying on!

As a continuation to my ABS light stuck on..... Is there a chance that as a result of my F being stood up for a few months that the ABS Pump has failed or become stuck, or siezed?? If so, is there a way of getting it going..... are there any 'User Maintainable' parts in it? I'm off work for a few we...

Hi Rob,

I hope you and "said shed" are doing well!!

Is this the piece of kit we all discussed last summer when I was looking at the T300 unit from the states?
