Hi GRWP,
does the car come with its security card? If so, the locking wheel nut # should be written in the appropriate box, alongside VIN and access codes. You can then get the corresponding nut off fleaBay.
Cheers

Dunno Rob, I’m actually a bit worried about them. One reads loads of posts about Paypal nicking people’s money by putting their accounts on suspension due to "fraudulent payment sources". Once they got you there, you may still receive payments but neither send nor withdraw funds from your own accoun...

Re: Money Transfer to the UK - Deutsche Bank rip-off!
Evidently theres is little or no charge among continental banks just something us Brits have to suffer? Yep Neil, that’s just it. Every bank transfer within the EU must be subject to the same fees as domestic ones, that’s European law (SEPA = single European payment area), mostly meaning no commiss...

Money Transfer to the UK - Deutsche Bank rip-off!
Hi MGFolks, I already have this one posted on the German mgboard, but would like to put it here as well. Due to various circumstances, it may sometimes be wise for us overseas dwellers to look for MGF or TF parts in the UK. Not only new ones or aftermarket replacements from shops accepting Visa or o...

Hi Andrew and all MGFriends Down Under, just heard the news on the radio while having breakfast. Horror! Won't this nightmare ever stop? I desperately hope that you and all your loved ones and neigbours will be safe. Please be assured that my thoughts are with you, like those of all others on the bo...

Re: Rear Speaker Wiring
You should remove the T-bar, behind the volumetric alert box on top of the centre console there should be an uncoloured/white female connector with 4 cables (grey w/ pink and yellow for right, blue w/ pink and yellow for left, pink being +, yellow -, not to be grounded!). I cannot tell whether it is...

Re: Are speed cameras for profit or safety ?
Hi everybody, IMHO speed cameras and/or mobile tests do make good sense as long as some provisions are followed: a) Keep it Simple In my village, the only camera is installed in front of my daughter’s primary school. That is perfect, I wouldn’t want anybody speeding there. BTW my wife got caught the...

Nor have I received the indicator I was about to work on ... ... erm, hi, everybody. What I want to do is to fit a row of say 5 LEDs into the bottom part of the indicator which will then light up with ignition turned on. This shouldn't be too much of a problem (once the darn thing is open  , th...

and that number plate looks a bit dodgy to  darren. But it is definitely speed trap proof  Yet I think that DTRLs should not be regarded as pure gimmicks. Actually my mum had a severe accident a couple of years ago, when she wasn't aware of a dark blue Audi on a shady main road. My stepda...

I have also found the fibreglass front wings somewhere on the web. Apart from the colour issues I wonder what will happen to them in case of an accident. Might just break into sharp, sword-like bits and pieces, don't they?

Hello and G'Day Andrew, thanks a lot for your welcome and yes, it was a beautiful day lst week, one out of two actually :P Now it's raining here as well, and quite slippery in the mornings. But we are well off here in Good Olde Europe, I suppose. Just heard the news about the Toowoomba flood, that i...

Hi Dave, my VVC hat the cam belts, alternator belt, water pump and a couple other bits changed after a HGF in December and all this was done without taking the engine out. I had the chance to have a look at the car in the garage while the head was off, they just have to flip up the rear end of the h...

Hi Adrian and Colin, have just registered with the Tour de Lux, but the MGFIM is on the first weekend in September, I will be off to Italy with the family. No MGF there, on that weekend actually no cars at all, we plan to go to Venice for the historic regatta after some days on the beach around Rimi...

Re: Hello .... New Member from the "sunny North East"
Hi Lorraine, also a big welcome to the board from another newbie from Germany! As we have quite strict regulations about the use of winter tyres here in Germany, there's some experience about it. I'd recommend that you get a set of 14" steel rims (the ones used for the spare wheel) with 175/65R14 M&...

Re: Hello and happy new year
Thanks a lot, Adrian. I actually found the covers on eBay for 10€ a piece. Have no idea where they originally came from, my suspect would be a Metro, as they were quite popular here in the 80's and 90's.
The Tour de Lux is on my list, as that is not too far away from here. I think we will meet there.

Hello and happy new year
A very warm hello to all of you! After having sold the family-proof hatchback (wife's got a new Meriva, so I got clearance from that side :D ), I was keen to get me some decent roadster for everyday use. Finally found a 2000 MGF VVC in British Racing Green with beige trim south of London and flew in...
