Re: electric f in mgcc mag

Say no more! Most PV cells are prohibitively expensive at the moment, unless you're fortunate enough to qualify for a grant, which are typically rather tricky to get. And I don't want one of those deals where you pay nothing for the installation, and get little of the benefit selling surplus p...

Re: Leak from downpipe/flexi pipe joint

This topic reminds me of my student days, bodging the exhaust on a Nissan Sunny with gungum, bits of tin an coat hangers... ah, those were the days. Couldn't afford a new battery either, so usually had to get mates to push start it, or park on an incline push it myself, and hope I could catch up wit...

We've got solar heating, but not photovoltaics. Have you got PVs? Definitely want these! Where did you get them from? (Sorry, starting to go a smidge off topic here...)

I like the sound of devotion better Jon!

If/when it does fall apart, a nice excuse to get a shiny new stainless steel sports exhaust!

Yes, that one for a late MGF will indeed fit a TF. Good luck with the bidding David.

Still have mine - only ever used once. Good nick. Will give it a spring clean and post pictures for anyone who may be interested. :)

Re: Exhaust Manifold or advice to fix it... and support brac

Have a look at the wheel nuts - sometimes there is a letter stamped on them that'll provide you with a clue as to which wheel nut tool to get... Or, go to a local stealership. They have the "universal" tool, and then get a new set of locking wheel nuts to replace them, complete with correct removal ...

Vernier's on a VVC? Interesting. Are you going for a solid cam conversion?

Unfortunately no spare verniers. They're on the Project Shed. Don't tell anyone - shhh! ;)

Re: Beware....The Yellow Peril has arrived!!

The Trophy is a beauty!

I think that I could be tempted by a red one if one ever became available at the right price/condition. But couldn't sell either of my other Fs - so that'd be a bit of a problem!

Re: electric f in mgcc mag

Build yourself a solar power station on your roof! The problem then is where and how to store the energy when it isn't powering your house or charging your car. But if you got it to work, imagine how virtuous you'd feel!

Re: Any members here good at Microsoft Access?

Which version of Access? Depends on the machine I have, er, access to! ;)

This machine I am currently using has an ancient version running Office 2000. At home, I think I have a more recent version - but I need to have a look and check.

Would be delighted to see what you've got so far! :)

Yes, that is what mine now looks like Colin. Monogram plus if you like! I've also fitted piano black trim on the ATC console and sat nav bezel. Not sure I have any decent pictures of these though? So my message to MG Motor (UK) - please do your interiors to the same standard/ precieved quality...

Re: Exhaust Manifold or advice to fix it... and support brac

Manifold found. No lambda boss in that one - in this case it is in the down pipe. I think that there must have been two patterns of 4-stud manifold/down pipes! Hadn't realised that before? Will picture them for you. Also found that alternator cover for the wheel arch. I might even have a heat shield...
