Re: Swirling water noise?
If you've had all that water swirling about in the cills for a while, it may be prudent to spray something oily in there after you've emptied them just for a bit of protection.

Re: Who`s been Spotted..........
I Was driving back from Salisbury to the West Midlands via the m5 in a mk1 tahiti blue with the top down Sunday before last. Was wearing a huge red body warmer and gloves! Bracing 100 odd mile drive at 70! Got more than a few waves from normal motors that passed me and one from a bright orange 73 BG...

Re: Running too cool?? ( that makes a change...)
Well after changing both sensors (blue and brown) and replacing a split pipe that I luckily found whilst I was doing it :o everything seems to be settling down. The temp level still drops a little if I cane it past 6.5k, even when the oil and water is warm, but I'm happy to live with that at the mom...

Re: Running too cool?? ( that makes a change...)
Yeah I thought thermostat at first but the heater works fine and driving today i kept a close eye on it and the temperature gauge was dropping out all over the shop. it kinda looked like a wiring problem would, so I've ordered the temp sensor anyway because if I'm going to take the access panel off ...

Running too cool?? ( that makes a change...)
Evening all. I have kinda of a weird symptom, if it is a symptom... My mk1 VVC, tahiti ted, is running too cool. It takes a good 15 mins to warm up and never gets to half way on the temp gauge, the oil temp hardly gets above 60 and when it does get warm if I give it the beans, the temp guage plummet...
