Classic Car Show & MPH
I'm thinking about going up to Birmingham on Sat 10th Nov for the Classic Car Show and MPH07 - Mrs M is not keen - anyone else fancy a trip up the M40 to warm us up before the winter warmer the next day ?

Re: Classic Car Show & MPH
Paul - it's £10.50 if you book using the MGCC's secret code.
Transfer to MPH is free but you have to fill a form in apparently. It's £10 extra to see the Jeremy Clarkson road show - saw this a couple of years ago in London and it's worth it but I wouldn't bother paying the extra to go around the pits afterwards.
Do we have a date ?

Re: Classic Car Show & MPH
Kate and I might just come to this one too. Just gotta keep her away from the Hampster!
Tim, you say you can transfer to MPH from the Classic Car Show, but you have to pay extra for the JC roadshow. Does that mean you don't get to see any of the TG crew if you don't visit it, or is it just a special feature that JC is doing on his own? The only show like this I've been to was the Top Gear Live event at Silverstone quite a few years ago and I never saw any TG presenters!
Rich.

Re: Classic Car Show & MPH
I've not heard any more about the MGCC/nac link up so guess it is just the usual MGCC stand. I intend to go as a punter in any case for a change !!
MPH is a car show with lots of new high performace cars on display. You get free transfer to that bit for your tenner.
The Live show costs another £10 and consists of Clarkson and cronies lording it over lots of cars doing donuts and crashing into each other - top stuff !
The secret code can be found on the front page of the MGCC website along with a link to the booking office.

Book a ticket for the classic car show as directed by the MGCC website . We'll book to see the LIve show in the MPH part when we get there.

Re: Classic Car Show & MPH
We had a good and lengthy day out at the NEC - bumped into loads of people including the new owners of MG Sport & Racing who seem closer to selling the SV than NAC actually do with the TF !. (might be called a Riley if they can't come to an agreement over the MG badge with NAC !!)
NAC pulled out of MPH so we didn't see them (only heard plenty of rumours) but lots of supercars in there to drool over. Classic car show was much better than MPH though with absolutely masses of clubs and traders taking part over four huge halls.
Only spotted one MGF which was on the MGOC stand - I think we'll have to remedy that next year !
