MGCC S.E Summer Gathering 'Hever Castle' 27-07-14

This year 2014 the MGCC South East are holding the 'Summer Gathering' at 'Hever Castle', Edenbridge, Kent, TN87NG. There will be spaces allocated for the MGF Register.
This is a great venue, and it was some 10 years ago since the club last held an event here. and to quote from their flyer...

After Ten years, we return to this historic castle, where Ann Boleyn grew up with her family. We are joining in thier 'medieval' weekend, with the brave knights of old jousting in the special arena.
We shall be organising the usual Concours and Pride of Ownership competitions, together with a gymkhana in the afternoon.
The entry fee includes the gardens but not the castle. Our event starts at 10am and the prizes will be announced at around 4pm


Below is an application form for booking in advance, they also show a 'scenic route' run to Hever Castle, otherwise see you all there on the day. :thumbsu:

(Well ;If it does rain,again?....It wont be any worse than it was 4 years ago + It was October)

Can anyone confirm that entry on the day with cash is supported?

The entry form seems to be more for Concourse and Poo entries, closes on 18th and needs to be paid for by cheque...not entering either comps, it's 17th today and I don't do cheques... :D

You can pay on the day 'with cash' to get in, not sure about the 'Concourse or POo'..you could phone Philip on the number shown on the entry form to clarify...

We talked about this at our pub meet last night, we may turn up with a few cars.

Adrian..That would be nice to have a few 'Regional Members', the MGF Regsiter Gazebo has pride of place opposite the pre-1955 parking area and next to the general parking area..Look for the 'Butterfly' flags ;)

To make direction to Hever Castle a little easier here is the postcode TN87NG, hope to see you all there and of course many others... :thumbsu:

Plus of course 'Holly' the MGF will be there in all her glory, trying to persuade Members to take her for a Spin..lets fill up her diary, spaces left for August, September, December and 2015

No Rain! Sunshine all day and just the right tempreture, good turn out of MG's over 155 turned up, inc 26Fer's..Nice to see Andy and Hazel, and again I would like to thank MartinC (snapper), NickG, who helped with the set up and packing up, 2 of the F'ers won prizes in the 'Auto Gymkhana' JohnR, Nadia both with Brian riding shotgun. Curtis and Phil along with AndyC took pride of place alongside the MGF Register gazebo. I am sure that we will see more photos posted soon.And YES, 'Holly' got in on the act!
