My poor old F

Post by citychap26 » Mon Feb 23, 2015 11:47 am

Hi All,

I used to be an rather active member on the MGF sites, however I moved to a German marque which shall remain nameless. ;)

Rob Bell and Ted Newman may remember me, it's Sunil from SE London I have an MGF BRG 1.8 N Reg (1969 off the production line)...

Anyways, some delight of this world caused 10k damage to my german car it has now been fixed, howeverI need to park it on my drive or garage. Sadly my beloved F has to make way. It's a non runner at the moment, it had a full service including belts done some 6 years ago by a specialist in Wimbledon but has not really moved since. I believe that the fuel pump may not be working.

I would like it to stay in the London area and not be used for parts etc. What do you think.

Cheers

Sunil

PS It really pains be to be doing this hence why it's taken so many years to get to this point. This was my first sports car.

I would say hi and welcome and then say don't do it! Get it working and enjoy......

But if you must sell it on or get it repaired you could try Dave at church square autos in shepperton, he's an active member of the f register and the south east group so he might be able to help.

Hi,

Thanks for the message, sadly I have no real choice now. I need to move my car on to my drive or in the garage. It's not worth getting the F sorted now.

The annoying thing is that it has a few nice extras on there, K&N, S&P exhaust, later roof, and upgraded cream leather. Oh and only 50k on the clock. Have 16's on it also but one of the F1s has gone flat. The 15s are on fresh Toyo Proxys.

Cheers

Sunil

I can understand your predicament as these cars are not worth very much but I just ignore that fact and enjoy the car!

As I said give Dave a ring 01932 241843 http://www.churchsquareautos.com/index.asp he might be able to help

Hello All,

So back here again some delightful b'stard had keyed my 911 again so I need to let the MGF go to a loving home.

Would rather someone tried to get Oscar running again rather than striping it for parts or scraping it.

Please get in touch.

Cheers

Sunil

How much are you after sunnil? Me and my cousin are looking for a cheap project/track car and I wouldn't mind taking another F on board

Hi, to be honest I'm not sure what it's worth. It has some nice extras on there.

PM me and let's chat, it's a shame you're miles away as it would have been nice to have gone somewhere more local. I really don't want it to go.

Cheers
