Autumn Naviscat - 11th October
I am organising the MGCCSE Autumn Naviscat which will take place in the Mid Surrey area.
It starts and finishes at the Abinger Hatch in Abinger Common ( we've been there before if you remember the Pot Pouri scavenger hunt we did a few years back).
I know some have done these before but there may be others who fancy trying one out - then thnis is your chance.
You will need to be double crewed and the navigator will need to know how to read and plot points on an OS map - you'll also need a pencil and ruler as minimum equipment.
Then all you have to do is find the answer to the clues which I fiendishly think up!
Easy!
It starts with signing on from 10am to 10.45am and a cup of coffee to fortify you before the clues and points are handed out at 11am. Then three and a half hours later you end up back at the pub with your answers just in time for a roast lunch. Whilst you enjoy your lunch Liz and I will be frantically marking your papers and then we have the prizes and you get to find out where you went wrong - or not as the case may be!
To enter just download the two forms and send one of them to me by old fashioned post with your remittance in the form of a cheque - it costs £10 per car in advance or £12 on the day.
It would be really nice to have strong F/TF turnout for this one.
It all takes place on Sunday 11th October - please send your entries in as soon as possible to give me more confidence in setting the questions!

Is there an alternate means of advance payment, Tim?....don't have a cheque book...

They do not have online payments so the only other option is cash. Send in the application form beforehand and you can pay the advance rate on the day in cash.

All clues and points now set after several days trawling the countryside ! The Abinger Hatch is all prepared for the start and finish so its the last chance now to apply for your place.....not many places left now.

Hi Tim
Please add Paul B and myself to the list of avid runners
We've both not done a navscat for a while ... So who knows where we will end up
Not got a cheque book either so I'll pay on the day
See you there

Less than week to go until the Naviscat - have all the South Easters who are going to come along entered yet?
