Post by Bigfootmgf » Tue Sep 09, 2008 6:19 pm

Hello everyone :?

Now as there has been not that many people turning up to the pub meets i thought i would start the ball rolling and ask questions thats if Tim does not mind! :thumbsu:
what do you want to do in the way of outings? Pub meets/dayouts/runs

what days are good for you? saturdays/Sundays/weekdays

Any ideas of what you want to do?

We are waiting for your input :sf:

Hope this helps Tim out

Thankyou Neil . As it happens I've just bumped into Alan, the Scotland Rep, in sunny Sussex who tells me it rains most of the time up there so I hope you've got your galoshes and waterproofs for your trip to Glencoe !. Down here of course it's sunny all the time as you know.

Is the F residing north of the border yet then ?

Been in France ..... (well only me, can't speak for any other SEFers)

Sunday lunch sounds good, but I doubt I would be able to make very many, another suggestion mooted at our last meet was to move the evening meet around the region a bit ...

Perhaps a meet in Kent of maybe even somewhere inside the M25 - Croydonish????

The best part of the meets for me, apart from the good company and beer is the drive there, I am perhaps at an advantage with this currently as I have a 30-45 minute journey across the surrey countryside to the Jovial Sailor/Fairmile... But I am happy to try and scout out a suitable venue somewhere on the Surrey/Kent border, or even Surrey/Sussex if there is interest. Perhaps to add an extra dimension we can look at some fairly simple but interesting runs into the meet.

Not sure what else to suggest, time is precious for me with 2 young children, evening meets (after they are in bed) is really the best for me.

It did stop raining on Sunday so I had a trip out, excellent roads...... Managed to empty a tank of SUL in about 270 miles :D :D

The F has left Oxfordshire, although its still in England as its currently sat at my parents in Bristol, and all being well it should be coming to Scotland this Sunday. I was going to try and get it serviced before coming to Scotland, but it'll just come as it is, and I'll find someone up here who knows something about MGF's.
