Launch Day Lollop - Saturday 20th Sep

Post by TimM » Sat Sep 13, 2008 12:58 pm

The LE500 is officially launched at dealerships with open days at every one throughout the country next weekend.

So I've had another stunning idea to celebrate the launch . How about a run around all three South East new MG dealers ?

This will be a Sat Nav event starting at Clackett Lane East bound on the M25 then heading for Meopham (Apple Developments) , Sittingbourne (SMC) and a lollop across country to Crawley Down to finish the day off. What better way to celebrate the launch of the LE500 in the South East ?

We'll meet up around 9am at Clacketts with no set route other than putting the locations in the sat nav to get us to each dealership.

So who's up for a blast around Kent and Sussex on Saturday 20th ?

Isn't that what it's for ?

Weather's bound to be good - LE500's just waiting for us - bound to get a cup of tea and biscuits at each stop - ideal !

Spoken to Apple and we can have a look round their workshop (as they havn't actually built the showroom yet !)

Clacketts to Meopham = 27miles
Meopham to Sittingbourne = 24 miles
Sittingbourne to Copthorne = 50miles

That's by Sat Nav - lovely staurday lollop - so how's about it ?

Are you up for the Lollop ?

Hey just thought i'd mention us SMS lot will be in the area of SMC on the sunday as we have our monthly pub meet 2 miles from there this month.

Just thought i'd mention in case you decided to do your lollop on the sunday and you could all pop by!

Been out for a scout around tonight, the nearest is a beefeater (the Dukes Head) link below, seems a fairly reasonable option, fairly cheap and the food should be alright. Alternative would be to go nearer to Crawley, possibly Parsons Pig as visited for last year's Winter Warmer.

http://www.beefeater.co.uk/ourRestauran ... =copthorne

So assuming Beefeater is OK with everyone.....

Itinerary for the Sat Nav Rally will be

9am Clacketts East Bound
9.45am Apple Developments DA13 0AL
11am SMC Sittingbourne ME10 4SB
1pm Crawley Down Copthorne RH10 3DZ
2.30pm Lunch at Dukes Head,Copthorne RH10 4HH

If you want a break between Apple and SMC you can stop by our garage. You'll be able to see my race F, TF160 and SV-R, amongst other cars.

Not sure the schedule will allow another stop off Ralph but thanks for the offer. Trouble is we don't want to be too late for lunch in Crawley !!

Don't forget if you're a last minute Bertie then we're meeting at 9am at Clacketts Lane Services M25 EAST bound at 9am (ish)
