Hard Top Relay in the South East

The Hard Top relay is coming to the South East following the Chairman's weekend - the idea is simple - put the top on your car - drive it around a bit - take some photos in interesting places - post them on this forum in the appropriate place - put some cash on the Register's charity page in aid of Guide Dogs.

Put your names down if you want to take part and we'll work out a rota before we have to hand it on somewhere else !

You need to let me know when you would like to take the Hard Top - It will be coming back with us on Sunday after the Register's weekender.

It will be in the region from this weekend until at least 10th April but it may stay longer ....

The Hardtop has now been collected from Abingdon where it was handed over by Pete & Lin from Devon & Cornwall. We now need to move It about the Region so I'm looking for someone to take it back with them from the Bunny Blast on Friday - you can see my initial update in the appropriate thread in the Announcements section and it will be going to work with me this week. It's been to the Market Square Abingdon and Nuffield Place and back on our patch at Runnymede so far!

That's great Dave but It needs to move on before then and be back at Brooklands for the 10th - so who is going to take it on the Bunny Blast on Friday?

Perhaps it can move about amongst the Kent group whilst it's down there?

I can take it this weekend on the 9th, its a shame really as we have a 11-20 car breakfast meet at West Malling on the 10th.

The hardtop isn't available this weekend (10th)as we have Brooklands MG meet with a 40 car display from all-over the area.
So a good opportunity to get donations for the guide dogs.

The top is with DaveK at the moment and will be at Brooklands on Sunday for the handover to Dave T. He'll take it back to Kent with him - Simon if you can liaise with him and hopefully move it about a bit amongst the group so we can raise as much as possible for Guide Dogs beofer it moves on again.

Just back with the Hardtop after visiting WSR (West Surry Racing). They where BTCC champions for MG using a MG ZS, with Colin Turkington at the wheel. The Hardtop is pictured here with WSR Team Principal Dick Bennetts. Also pictured is the BMW of ex MG6 & Trophy driver Jack Goff.

Hi Simon, wasn't intending to take it to POL as still not sure if I'm going. I could arrange handover to you to take there if you'd like?
