The plan at the moment is to meet up for breakfast and then" drive it" to the History on Wheels Museum at Eton. Details of meet point not yet confirmed but it will be north Surrey are and not that far away from Windsor so it won't be an enormously long run !

Now all confirmed - no other clubs booked in at Fairoaks so we should be OK

10am (ish) Fairoaks Airport Hangar Cafe GU24 8HX - go into airport entrance and turn right - there is a car park on the right - park there and walk towards the buildings veering right - you'll see a small sign for the hangar Cafe - go around the front of the building where the aircraft are moored up and you're there!

Sat nav run to Eton.

12 - 12.30ish Eton Wick - History on Wheels Museum SL4 6QY http://www.historyonwheels.co.uk/ - we are expected and there will be some cars from the Rover P6 Drivers Club there as well. £7 per person entry.

Thanks for letting me know - who else would like to join us?

We would have loved to come with you all on this however it's our twins birthday and although they are 38 the youngest still insists that mum and dad take him out for a meal. Hope you all have a great day out,

Sent you an email Tim, hoped my bumper respray would be done this afternoon but not to be - nightmare colour match. F is still in spray shop so can't make it very sorry.
Tried my best, have a great day.

Big thank-you to Tim for a great day out.

Café at Fairoaks airfield made a great starting point with good parking and excellent food. Amazing that in such a built-up area we still managed to find some nice country roads to Eton and the museum. The museum itself was a delightful family-run affair - a gem that we had no idea was there. With toasted sarnies and home-made cakes we were well looked after.

We MX5'ers took a leaf out of your book and went to 'Amberley Museum', as you reported some time back a 'wonderful' place..

Nice one John - that is a very good Museum.

If anyone saw Classic Car Weekly and had a magnifying glass then you might have spotted our picture in the Drive it Day round-up !
