Natter that Matters - Bound for Botany Bay - 17th Sep

Post by TimM » Fri Apr 29, 2016 2:34 pm

Finally after much deliberation and changes of plan we have details for the Natter that Matters semi weekender for 2016!

We are Bound for Botany Bay! (Too re ly u re ly adiya and all that)
The beach and cliffs below the Hotel
The beach and cliffs below the Hotel
It's about as far east as you can get without falling in the sea and the Botany Bay Hotel is perched right on the clifftop overlooking a sandy beach and the sea.

Plan is to meet up for dinner/natter at the hotel at 7pm Saturday 17th September for the Natter that Matters. You can join us without staying at the hotel if you wish.

However if anyone would like to meet up together earlier - say 1pm at the Spitfire Museum at Manston then we can have a look around that before heading down to Broadstairs. http://www.spitfiremuseum.org.uk/

Sunday I'm not sure about yet but we'll call in somewhere before heading back home.

There are about 7 rooms available at the Botany Bay Hotel itself but there are other hotels/guesthouses in the area. B&B starts at £100 and you can book on the booking.com website here BOTANY BAY AND OTHER HOTELS

If you want to stay at the Botany Bay which is recommended then probably be best to book quickly.

So time for booking and a list !

Booked at Botany Bay....

Our deportation to Botany Bay is coming up next month so I'm doing some thinking about it.

But first I need to confirm who is coming and if we have any extras so I have on the ship's manifest:-

Staying at Botany Bay:-
Tim & Liz
PaulB
Paul & Donna
Ian & Liz
Andy & Hazel
Faz & Oli
Ron & Joan
As far as I know the hotel is fully booked.

Popping in or staying elsewhere but joining us for dinner (that's the bit I'll need definite numbers)
Dave & Rhona

If you would like to meet up on Saturday beforehand then we will be at the Spitfire and Hurricane Musuem and RAF Manston Museum at 1pm ish for a spot of lunch and look around. We can then pootle over to Botany Bay afterwards. post Codefor the museum is CT12 5DF.
