Kent group little event after Bromley, maybe we will see Thomas
Hi, guys and girls I have managed to arrange a meet at the Kent and East Sussex railway station in Tenterden in Kent. It will be an ideal chance to get the cars out and about in some of the great Kent countryside. You can also have a train ride as well. They have a licensed restaurant on site should you wish to make a full day of it and also the driver of the car will get 20% discount off a ride on the steam train. The time of the steam train will leave at 13:15 and gets to Bodiam Castle at 14:00 you will have a chance to have a look at the castle etc and catch the 16:25 back to arrive back at Tenterden for 17:30.
I am running the event from 11:00am so we can get the cars setup first and have some lunch before the 13:15 train.

Page link will probably only be available if you are a member of the Facebook group that created the event unless it is an open group like the main MGF Register Facebook page is.

Looks like I will have to create a webpage for the Kent group as well lol, that way links will work without opening up the facebook page to the world.

Or just put all the info on this site. You can set the facebook page to only allow members to post or even for you approve every post! What have you got to hide?

One of the small issues with FB is you can't have it open to view but closed to post.Bigfootmgf wrote:Or just put all the info on this site. You can set the facebook page to only allow members to post or even for you approve every post! What have you got to hide?
They don't have anything to hide Paul, just keeps spam posts to a minimum

I think you might be wrong as the SE Facebook page is set to open but only members can post on the forum but everyone can see posts.Dave_T wrote:One of the small issues with FB is you can't have it open to view but closed to post.Bigfootmgf wrote:Or just put all the info on this site. They don't have anything to hide Paul, just keeps spam posts to a minimum
You can also set it to only allow moderators to post or moderator has to approve every post which sounds a bit tedious to me!

Interesting, thanks Paul. When i searched on Face Book I couldn't find anything to say you could do that.
Simon, would be worth looking into?

Sorry I can't see which bit will help us, ours is a closed group. The other 2 options are Open, which is fully open and secret.

Hi Simon all I was showing Dave and you that if you set the group to open everyone can see your posts, but they have to become a member of your group to post. And on ours only admin can approve members! the only time we have had spam is when I approved someone by accident! so it was sort of my own fault.....
Anyway its up to you what you do with your Facebook page just trying to Help
