Post by Bigfootmgf » Fri Jun 10, 2016 9:01 pm

Date for your Diary's!
There's not much info available on this other than we are meeting at Chatham Dockyard in Kent!
I think all the usual things will be happening!
Its organised by the SE centre of the MGCC
The Summer Gathering and Tour is the big event of the year, not to be missed, and will be held on Sunday 7th August at Chatham Dockyard. Our usual concours/pride of ownership will be organised for you. See website for details. Contact is Philip Bayne-Powell on 01483 811428.

Yes we have an area reserved for the MGF Register so any members from any region are welcome to come along. I understand it will be on hard-standing on the old parade ground area at Chatham.

Tickets are available by sending in the form that you can find at the below link
http://www.mg-cars.org.uk/mgccse/events ... 202016.pdf

For those new to the club - the Summer Gathering is the main South East Centre event of the year and there will be a Concours/POO competition and walking treasure hunt this year (instead of the usual gymkhana due to the location) as well as guided tours of the Dockyard if you wish to take partake.

Since I've received no reply at all to my offer I can only assume no more volunteers are needed ? I'm left feeling a little disappointed at being ignored

Unlike Andrew - normally he's only too happy for volunteers to help out!
Try him again Karl......

We'll be there but wasn't planning to volunteer for this one having just organised the Brooklands show - will probably help out at the Autumn Gathering though.

Thanks Andrew, I have replied via PM.

I thought I'd missed the chance with this event so I've committed to going with some friends to the USA day at Brooklands .

I managed to get down to the Dockyard with the youngest and the Trophy, you had a good turnout of MG's, and had a good day looking around, its been some time since I was there last and finding the models from the National Maritime museum that I believe were going to be skipped when a new director was appointed and rebuilt the museum, was a high point of the day.
Many thanks to the MGCCSE.
