Brooklands New years Day Classic Meet - Important Update in first post

Post by Bigfootmgf » Fri Nov 18, 2016 3:47 pm

We will be going to the New years day car show at Brooklands as has been the norm for a few years
We are booked in as a pre-booked car club, if any non Brooklands Members join us they will have to buy pre-paid tickets. Most of our South East group are members but we will be limited in numbers so we will need to know who is coming in an F/TF. We plan to meet up in the woods at Ockham KT11 1NN as previously and drive in together via the Members entrance as we normally do.

Meeting at 8.45am at Ockham Bites as above - we hope the MX5 club with John Wheeler will also be there and we can have a catch up!

Who's coming this year? As space is restricted it will be on a first come basis :thumbsu:

List time.....
PaulB (m)
Tim & Liz (M CL)
Neil S (M)
Karl & Angie (M CL)
Electric Dave (Guest of Karl)
Adrian (Guest of Tim)
+1 (need a name please) - I think this is Mike Murkin judging from the kent meet? (Guest of Tim)
Patrick & Jackie (M)
David & Andrea (M CL)
Peter and Christine (M)
PaulT (M)
Faz & Oli (M CL)
Ian & Ruth T (M CL)
Paul & Donna

Some of us are Club Level members and can bring in two guests so if you are not a Brooklands Member

We need to book this with final numbers by 14th December

At the moment we can get everyone in on Brooklands Membership - if we go above the guest limit for non-members then payment will have to be made to me by the 14th December - £10 per adult

No problem - if anyone else wants to join us then names on here by the weekend please - we will all be given passes this year to put in the windscreens and I shall be collecting those next week.
If anyone wants to come after that then they will have to park in the Heights car park next door and walk through as pre-1987 replaces the "All Welcome" of the last couple of years.

***ENTRIES FOR ON SITE MGF/TF PARKING NOW CLOSED****

Hopefully all of us can meet up at the Ockham Bites car park again as usual around 8.45am - we'll aim to head off at 9.15am.

I'll hand out the passes at Ockham and we'll head to Brooklands from there. Entry will be via the Vickers gate behind MBW and we'll be parked on the Finishing Straight.

If anyone is not coming to Ockham then let me know and I'll post your pass to you. All vehicles must be on site by 10.30am.

Anyone not on the list won't be able to enter this year but can park in the adjacent Heights car park and walk through via the shop.

Although the Hangar is down now half the finishing straight is still taken up with builders equipment, site cabins etc so space is a bit tighter.

Many thanks to Tim for organising the entry passes and parking area for today. Weather turned out better than forecast (what a surprise!) with heavy rain not starting until 2pm. Lots of interesting cars to look at although the numbers were down due to the forecast. Good to see lots of MGF/TF cars despite the weather.
