Re: April 15th - Arundel Castle
ARUNDEL GATHERING - VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE - CHANGE OF VENUE!
Due to the recent rainfall, it has been necessary to change the venue to Amberley Museum. Please now got straight to the museum where you will be parked.
For those staying over the Saturday night, we will now leave the White Swan at 8.50am sharp.
Below is the full details from the organisers:
Hi Everyone
As I am sure you are aware the resent heavy rain has left the ground very waterlogged. Unfortunately, this has resulted in, our opinion, unacceptable conditions on the lawns within Arundel castle.
As you can imagine it is with very deep regret that we have made the decision to move our event at the last minute.
We have, however, managed to arrange a fantastic alternative venue for the Picnic and Gathering and we are very grateful to Amberley Chalk Pit Museum For hosting our event this year, at such short notice. http://www.amberleymuseum.co.uk/
NEW ARRANGEMENTS
Enter via exhibitor’s entrance on the B2139, which will be open from 9.00am, look out for MG signs.
We will be parked within the museum, with some fantastic historic exhibitions, including a garage and bus station from the 1950’s. There is, plenty to do and you will be parked up in your club groups.
Entry fee will be £10 per car
Please arrive between 9.00 am and 10.00am*, sorry but late arrivals will be sent to the general parking area and subject to normal entry fees.
Bacon rolls and coffee are available in the café from the 9.00am
Cars can leave from 16.30pm
Museum vintage Railway and bus services will be running
Dogs are allowed
We do hope you will continue to support us, and our team look forward to welcoming you to a great day at Amberley museum on Sunday 15th of April.
Thanks
