Regular Evening Pub Meets for 2009

Now that I've rejoined the world of normal human beings I can look at arranging some regular evening pub meets. So we're starting with the third WEDNESDAY of each month and initially alternating between two venues.

The First meet will be at our usual haunt of The Jovial Sailor in Ripley on THURSDAY 22nd January just to be awkward as its not a wednesday !

So hopefully we'll see some of you there around 8pm. I hear whisper we might have an LE500 along to this one.

PLease note I've altered the regular day already !!!

Now I've started at Brooklands I've discovered that most of their evening Members events are held on ....yes you've guessed it - the third Thursday of the month !

So I've tentatively changed our regular meets to the third Wednesday. Now as with all thing I'm open to suggestions if that may prove too tricky for our regulars.

A Friday evening would be better for me, esp during the spring summer months as the f comes out to play more, but the wednesdy is ok

Right - I've royally messed this one up and messed my dates up - I'm at a Brooklands Committee Meeting on Wednesday which means we can keep the original date of THIURSDAY 22nd January - Is that still OK as it was before - if so I'll do an e-mail to those that don't frequent this board so much !

We'll discuss a regular day then but I am still erring towards the 3rd wednesday - sorry to be a total plon***r

Why stop there, what about 1st, 2nd, 4th or even 5th week???

lol just let me know a day I should be there! mondays no good and saturdays and sundays are out but other days are fine!

I believe so or maybe its just a symptom of my own inner confusion ! I meant Jovial but my fingers are cold !

I shall be there probably in ZT as F refused to start today. I think it was sulking at having been abandoned in the garage for the last six weeks I am suitably guilt ridden. The first pub meet of the year means it must be Time to start planning for this years paddock display - we need to retain our title at all costs

I Hope to be there but my car is still at the garage being serviced I went to pic it up and a light stayed on the dash board

Sorry I was a bit late - blame it on the obstruction at Junct 10 cuasing a delay of half an hour !! At least it got me out of the house and cheered me up after my week of Cold/Flu Bug misery

And following a bit of discussion we're now aiming for a SECOND THURSDAY of the month regular meet. Which means the next one will be on Thursday 12th February at the Surrey Arms Newdigate so all you Sussex types can make your way there a bit easier !

Are you sure you should be saying what the next date is as there is a long time to go before then and you might change your mind

Thursdays are much better for me, wed's cant do at all as all too busy!!
