Cobweb Spin - Sun 8th March

Our next outing is approaching rapidly .....The Cobweb Spin has been one of our traditional visits in the South East. It used to be a season opener but these days as we do things all winter it's a nice nearly spring run !

Generally a lot of MGs if its a nice day and other clubs have been invited in the last couple of years so expect Triumphs, Citroens etc as well.

This year we'll echo the run we did two years ago when it poured with rain and there were mud slides across the A272 - hopefully this year will be better weather wise . So the start will be nice and early at the BP services on the A3 Southbound at Wisley (a couple of miles towards Guildford from the M25 junction if you're not familiar with the location). Gather around 0930 aiming to get away by about 10am. It should take us about an hour to get to Hursley Park just south of Winchester via the A3 to Petersfield and then along the A272 to Winchester. If you're further south and want to join in but Wisley is a bit far then suggest a pick up point ....and we'll....er ...pick you up !

Now the crux of the matter of course is who is actually going to come for a spin ?

Just cleaned my TF today

, filled 3 flower pots with 'nazeby' soil!!

, yes count me in for the cobweb run, will start with you at wisley A3 service area, as it takes the same time and mileage as starting at petersfield, and i have the 'joy' of driving with you all

and not getting lost again!

Had a chat with John at the weekend from the South Coast group and we're going to try and galvanise them into meeting us at the Seven Stars on the A272 at Petersfield around 1015 aiming to get to Winchester by 11pm

I know about some starters but how about the rest of you ?

I mighty be missing this one not sure yet!

two reasons, could be coving a go kart race at top level,
and also got to look after my rear brakes until the car goes in to be done!

This sounds like a good little run....Be good to tag along but not sure if I can make it though.

Can't use the 'business meeting' excuse on a weekend ! lol

Hello everyone, until Saturday we had owned V907 LOB MGF VVC for 7 years, but it's now a 2003 Mini Cooper which Andrea is booking in to have John Cooper bonnet stripes and a union jack added to. As we are therefore so patriotic, any chance we can join you from the M25 rendevous?

We would have liked to have joined the RedEye M25 circumnavigation, but the start and end points were a good 1.5 hours from Reading, so it would have been a very late return to home.

We won't be offended if you tell us to sodd off and join a Mini forum! p.s. Bob Foster, we are selling those chrome coloured Lexus MGF lights on Ebay presently, as I know you were interested. Our ebay ID is chalky_white71 and there is plenty more MGF accessories going until Sunday evening.
