hi,trying to work out build numbers on 85th models,eg chassis number is 993,do we know chassis start/finish numbers,cannot beleave theres not even a certificate of authenticity as the 75th/ 80th had.davek :?

I understand that chassis 01001 was the 50th to be made which means that 951 was probably the first. I think the reasoning behind not numbering them was that they didn't know how many they were going to make. Initally it was 150 , then 85, then 50. I think it was always intended to be a Sepcial edition rather than Limited hence no numbering.

Someone will no doubt prove me wrong now !

The 85th were not built in one batch of consecutive VIN numbers. Ours is 841 and as Tim said #50 is 1001. They came down the production line in batches between standard 135's, so the missing VINs will appear on 135s. 993 is the 8th from last VIN number of the 85th's.

well had the 85th aweek now, done 75 miles nothing broken or fallen off yet? why is the last model always the best? they would have sold hundreds more if the old tfs drove like this ,and why was the new tf135 and le500 not fitted with this suspension/anti rollbar set up?? :D davek

I understood it to be a cost issue also if all cars were fitted with this suspension then the special edition 85th would not be so ' special '.
