"SATURDAY 27TH APRIL

The MSA Spring Classic will start on Saturday morning at the Celtic Manor Resort, in Newport, South Wales.

A day of breathtaking scenery and some of the best driving roads in Britain is in store, as we travel through the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains.

The morning route will take us through the picturesque town of Monmouth and on toward the Gospel Pass, the highest road pass in Wales. The pass also forms part of the Brecon Beacons National Park and commands stunning views across the landscape.

A morning coffee stop in the village of Hay-on-Wye, famous for its literary festival, will allow a short breather before more stunning scenery and fabulous roads lead us towards our lunch halt in the spa town of Llandrindod Wells.

From Llandrindod Wells, we will head towards the military ranges with a drive over the infamous Epynt special stage, where the best rally drivers in the world battle it out for top honours in the World Rally Championship.

A visit to Rorkes Drift Museum in Brecon is next on the itinerary, with a chance to explore the fascinating story of Wales' infantry regiment, before a return to the Celtic Manor Resort in plenty of time to get ready for the Gala Dinner this evening. This will be a chance for all participants to meet and discuss the day's events whilst enjoying a sumptuous three course menu. The dress code for the Gala Dinner is smart/casual.

SUNDAY 28TH APRIL
Re-starting from the Celtic Manor Resort, Sunday morning sees us heading out of Wales into West England for a route through the Mendip Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We will be travelling across the Grade 1 listed Clifton Suspension Bridge, spanning the picturesque Avon Gorge. Please have the 50p toll ready (payable with any silver coin except 5p!).

A morning coffee stop is scheduled at the beautiful Chew Valley Lake before the rest of this morning's driving. Our route will take us along the bottom of the Cheddar Gorge, with a 137m near-vertical cliff-face to the south, and steep grassy slopes to the north.

The gorge is part of a Site of Special Scientific Interest, with the south side being owned by the Marquess of Bath's Longleat Estate, and the north side owned by The National Trust.

Our lunch halt at Haynes Motor Museum in Sparkford will give everyone a chance to view their stunning collection of cars and bikes, from nostalgic classics of the 50s and 60s and glorious Bentleys and Rolls Royces, to exciting super cars like the Jaguar XJ220.

Castle Combe racing circuit is the final destination for the MSA Spring Classic, with exclusive use all afternoon. Opened in 1950, Castle Combe is one of the longest established circuits in the UK and has been host to many legends of motorsport, including Stirling Moss, Nigel Mansell and Ayrton Senna.

Laps of the circuit will be preceded by the presentation of souvenir awards in the paddock." 8-)
