Update - oooops they missed the ferry and not expecting to reach Bristol before 8pm :cry:


Now confirmed a gathering to host some of our German MGF Friends Mkyel and Cadde and Steffi

Heya!

Saturday 30t August is now confirmed. Off the ferry at 1 pm, then round London and up the M4 with a trailer to keep us from speeding, so I think we would be in the area at 5 pm-ish. Not really the time for dinner, but some crumpets and tea would be fun. :thumbsu:

6 pm would just be okay, but that would be a quick ’un for Cadde and me. I’ve booked a hotel in Cardiff and we have to check in there at 9 pm the latest. It’s a bit more convenient to pick up the car early Sunday morning.

Well, the planned meal for 4 became a later meal for 2 due to missed ferry due to delays at Calais border controls

I can confirm that the intrepid 3 were last seen on the M4 complete with TURBO TF on the trailer along with Cider and Tin Miner Pastys :lol:

A bit disappointing but customs are being very strict at the moment, last week at Dieppe are passports were checked by British and then French officials and then after asking where we'd been (Spain) the car was searched. While waiting to board the French customs guys were randomly checking cars in the rows.

And then when we landed British customs were checking every passport in depth, took over an hour to get off the ship.
Home to black Alfa 159 3.2 V6 Q4, blue MGZR160, green MGF VVC and grey MGF 1.8i, and red MG Maestro T16.
