Dec'14, Jan, Feb'15 Natters what to do??

Post by colintf » Wed Oct 22, 2014 6:22 am

We were chatting last night about what to do with these winter Natters, and need input from others to help decide

December 3rd Tuesday would be too close to Christmas, so do we postpone, move to another Tuesday eve or move to Sunday lunch??

Jan Feb eves can be Cold, icy and wet - not so nice for travelling, so do we keep to Tuesday evenings or move to a Sunday lunchtime? the latter could enable trying a roaming Natter, like at the Cassia Indian at Filton which I know is very popular for some, and maybe another more north in the Cotswold Region, but we would have to pick dates that don't clash with the Somerset Sunday Natters ideally

So, open to you guys for ideas.......

If no feedback, then I will decide, but I don't want us in that position as this is your region ( and also wanting input from those that visit us from further afield like Pete and Lin from The Devon / Cornwall border!!) so you guys should help form the decision process :D

Nov natter details here (the usual 3rd Tuesday 18/11/14) viewtopic.php?f=13&t=18923

Hi Colin
Yes postpone the Dec natter as we are all busy just before Christmas.
Travelling to Bristol on winter evenings is no fun, so lunchtime is better. If you can find your way out of Bristol a roaming natter is a great idea. We may find some more members to join us in other parts of the area.

Regards

Roger

Lin & I are OK for the November meet, but with so much going on in December we will be unable to drive up should a Dec. meeting go ahead.

For Jan-Feb-Mar, Sunday lunchtime meets make a lot of sense, but we will be quite happy to go with what gets decided - of course it would be weather dependent for us.

Thankyou both for your input :thumbsu:

Sounds a good idea to postpone December and do Sundays in Jan and Feb

Let's see if there's anymore feedback.

I have an idea for one Sunday

Roger, do you have a recommendation for up your way??

Many thanks
Col

Getting out and about for Sunday lunch in Jan/Feb sounds good. I think the Somerset one is 18/1 so would we be looking at 25/1 (or does that clash with something else ?)

Hi Colin,

The main South West Centre are having their Christmas Meal at the Ring O'Bells on Tuesday 2nd December starting at 8:15. If anyone is interested, the cost is £13.50 per head and you will need to send a completed form to Andrew Owst, SW Centre Secretary, along with a cheque, before 22nd November.

Other news, I am now the proud owner of an R reg MGF, having sold one of my MG Metros, I needed another MG in my life, and my stepson sold me his :D

I have put it on SORN until the new year to give me a chance to give it the once over and get it sorted.
