Sunday 22nd Feb'15 lunchtime natter - where??.
As it's winter we decided to skip December due to our date being too close to Christmas
For January we decided on the Cassia Indian at Filton on Sun 25th viewtopic.php?f=13&t=19129
For Feb we need to find somewhere for Sunday 22nd Feb, and it was suggested that we head Further North into the Region so open to suggestions from the likes of Mike and Roger etc etc
Only 2 places spring to my mind : -
The Cross Hands on the A46 just off the M4 Bath -Stroud road heading to Stroud, it's got plenty of parking but I have not eaten there since it's refurb
The pub at Wickwar opposite AE Wilcox, but I have never been there, just seen it every time I go to Wilcox's
So, over to you guys for suggestions

Hi Mike, Roger and other Region Members located in the northern are of our Region.
The idea was to hold this lunchtime Natter nearer to you rather than close to Bristol.
I need input as to where from you please
No input will result in me deciding where it is held, but I prefer it's somewhere that you guys suggest
Many thanks

Re: Sunday 22nd Feb'15 lunchtime natter - where??.
Hi
I am more than happy to suggest a venue here in the more northern part of our region, but with the present lack of interest up here it seems a little pointless. However, if during next year we have some members from this part of the world we can look at finding somewhere then.
Your compromise suggestions of the Cross Hands or Wickwar sound good as they can be easily accessed by Pete and Lyn and are a little closer for me.
Hope this is of some help.
A happy New Year to everybody.

Has a venue for this meet been sorted?
Fran and I would like to join in, if its still going to be on.
Don't mind where it is. Will be ready for a blast in the MG in a couple of weeks.
Thanks
Paul

We are looking at suggested venues at the moment and open to suggestions
We often get Pete and Lin up from Plymouth as well
Guess this time of year it makes sense to stick to readily reachable places just off main roads, just in case of wintery conditions

So I guess we need somewhere between Bristol and Worcester
The only places I originally thought of were :-

The pub at Wickwar opposite AE Wilcox, but I have never been there, just seen it every time I go to Wilcox's
Anyone any other suggestions or views?

I don't know the area too well, but on TripAdvisor, the following fare well, though its not clear what the parking is like at either:
The Butchers Arms at Sheepscombe

The Carpenters at Miserden, Birdlip
