Sun 4th Oct'15 Prescott Autumn Classic

Post by colintf » Wed Sep 16, 2015 6:54 am

MG's competing on the Sunday at this 2 day event

http://www.prescott-hillclimb.com/autumn-classic.aspx

"Our ever-popular Autumn Classic event is a real American Stars & Stripes weekend celebrating the biggest, brightest, and brashest cars this side of the pond. We have special displays by American car clubs in both the Orchard and the Paddock, alongside USA-themed entertainment while competitors in a range of national championships tackle the Hill.

Special displays include American car clubs and motorcycles from Pontiacs, Mustangs, Cadillacs, and Chevys to Flatheads, Hotrods, Indians plus the welcome return of the Vintage Hot Rod Association.

Not enough? We have stunning Stanley Steamers, mad Model T Fords and Classy Cords.
We've got 1950s California Chromed Cruisers, 1960s mean muscle Mustangs and a wheel-smokin' Viper.

Following last years' "Show n Shine" success, we are awarding an AMAZING £250 to the judges favourite car on both Saturday & Sunday so why not complete the application form now : //uploads/Show & Shine entry form 2015.pdf
There's no entry fee, just buy your entry ticket as normal, complete this form and we will send you your "Show and Shine" parking pass.

The paddock will be rocking to rockabilly band The Bravo Boys plus vocalist Michael Ian Brown performing a selection of American '50s jukebox classics by Elvis, Ritchie Valens, Bill Haley & His Comets, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, the Beach Boys, Johnny Cash and more.

Back by popular demand, we have the oldest surviving Wall of Death The Demon Drome. The original 1920s motordrome where daredevil riders defy gravity and perform the craziest of feats with their Indian motorcycles - just inches from your eyes. Be amazed folks...be amazed!

Other attractions: Saturday: Bugatti Owners' Club, Austin Healey Sport Speed Championship, Midland Automobile Club, Porsche Club GB, Scimitar and Sabre Speed Championship and The Revington TR Register Speed

Sunday: Bugatti Owners', Vintage Sports Car Club, 500 Owners' Association, Austin Healey Club, Aston Martins Owners' Club, HSCC, Historic BMW, Historic AM, MGCC, TVR Club, Morgan Sports Cars ‘Techniques’ Speed Championship and The Aldon Automotive Classic Championships.

Help us celebrate Prescott's end of season party, with live music and American finger lickin' food in the Clubhouse (advance booking a must)."

The MGCC Southwest Centre are organising a road run to this event aiming to get there about noon I believe
