should be a good day Stu. Case of wrap up warm though!
If there's enough interest we could get dedicated MG parking area like we used to for the MG raceday at Combe

Re: Easter Mon 9th April'12 Castle Combe MGB50 Racing
Race Meeting One, Twenty Twelve
Our season starts on our traditional date of Easter Monday 9th April and what a cracker we have lined up for you. After some years away it is great to welcome back the Historic Racing Drivers Club. Many regular race fans will recall the great Easter Monday Races with the famous Cloth Cap ‘Gentlemans’ races. Julius Thurgood, the originator of those championships has recreated an even better slice of those evocative times of the 60’s and 70’s and brings the flare and style of that period to us. The Touring Greats could well be a highlight for many, with Jaguars mixing it with A40’s and all those types of cars that your Dad or perhaps your Granddad used to drive. It sets the scene for other races which include MGB’s, which celebrate their 50th year, diverse grids and true teamwork in the GTS 65 when you can look out for pre 66 historic sports cars over 1500cc running with either 1 or 2 drivers with a compulsory pit stop. There is a total of 5 races covering this period plus of course the eagerly awaited first rounds of the Castle Combe Championships for Formula Ford 1600’s, the Vadabar sponsored Sports & GTs and of course the National Mobile Windscreens Saloons, more of which later.
With prices held at £15.00 for an Adult with under 16’s admitted free and the chance to still purchase tickets in advance and get free Paddock Transfer, Easter Monday represents a great day out with qualifying starting at 08.35 and the first race getting underway at 12.40.
Sports & GTs Celebrate 30 Years
How time flies, but Easter Monday will see the start of the 30th year for our Sports & GT Championship and with the enthusiastic backing of new title sponsor, Vadabar, the Championship is looking stronger than ever. With the big cars back, some innovative marketing plans and already (at the time of writing) virtually a full grid. On Easter Monday as well it’s a great chance for all our visitors to get close up to the cars and drivers with one of our now well established free Grid Walkabouts. The cars will be ushered onto the Grid, the gates at the Avon Bridge and in front of race control thrown open for you to come and wander the Grid, chat to the drivers, photograph the cars and soak up the pre race atmosphere and tension. It is a great opportunity for our younger visitors to really appreciate just how ‘special’ these car are – and the drivers are a pretty friendly bunch as well. The Grid Walkabout will be between 12.00 and 12.40.
