Open day Kimber House - 28th May

Kimber House is opening its doors on the 28th May to allow members to see the newly finished archive extension to Kimber House.

Kimber House will be open between 10:00 and 16:00.

More details will follow when confirmed.

Information about the open day from Adam Sloman, MG Car Club, General Manager

For those of you that have always wanted to come and visit Kimber House but never had the opportunity, on Saturday 28th of May we’re throwing the doors of Kimber House wide open from 10:00am to 4:00pm. For many of you this will be the first chance to come and see the new Archive facility – I hope to see as many of you as possible on the day.

It’s worth noting that the Open Day falls on the day before the Old Speckled Hen Run, so why not make a weekend of it in Abingdon?

The Club’s online and physical shop, Kimber Stores, is due to reopen later this month, on the same day as the open day on Saturday 28th of May.

Not sure yet ...... will let you know after tomorrows MGLive! meeting. I was going to see if they need any help, especially in the 'parking' area. The one thing Kimber House does not have is a vast car park. I think they have alternate parking arranged but they may need help to marshal people to and from it.

Adam has our plaque on his list to do so hopefully it will be in place for the open day

Once again the MG Car Club will be holding an open day for all members and non-members to come down and visit Kimber House – the home of the MG Car Club and spiritual home of MG. This will also give people the chance to see the newly finished Bill Wallis Wing, the Club’s new archive extension. It will also coincide with the re-opening of Kimber Stores and the Club’s brand new range of merchandise that will be available to buy on the day.

Kimber House will be open from 10am – 5pm this Saturday 28th May

Unfortunately spaces in the Club’s car park will only be available for those who require ease of access. There are other alternatives, including a free 2-hour multi-storey car park within the town which is a short walk from Kimber House.

Kimber House will be open from 10am – 4pm. Unfortunately spaces in the Club’s car park will only be available for those who require ease of access, however Smeg and Oxford Engineering have offered their car parks for the day.
