It was good to meet Camiel, Michael and friends at the pub in Lympne last evening, after their trip across the pond via Dunkirk and Dover - and looking forward to the event this evening in London. Weather looks promising - might even have the top down.......

Still disappointed I couldn't make it - that's now a big fat zero on car events this year.

Hi all
Thank you to all the team for organising the run. Despite the unscheduled road closures and for me a puncture on A13 toward Dartford, a great run and enjoyable event. Hope all got around the run safe and successful. How did Dieter get on?

An amazing night, the sights, sounds and smells of London as we made our way through this amazing City makes this run one of the runs I always want to be part of. You expect delays, road closures and as the driver expect your co-driver to sometimes get it wrong! We laughed all the way, found a way back to Southend missing out the A13, and drinks in the bar later with other European and UK register members the smiles on their faces and the laughter will stay with me a long time and goes to remind us all of what a great event and more so what a great register we are part of. Thank you Adrian and the Essex region for arranging this!

Re: Thames Bridges & Tunnels 2016
Sorry, couldn’t post earlier, only came home last night and had to work all day today.
As has been pointed out before,
THIS WAS A FAB EVENT !
Okay, some things didn’t go as planned, but (as they used to say on telly in the old days) this was a live show, and you never know what’s going to happen. Part of the fun, really … okay … the closures on the A13 were a nuisance but then, we arrived, beer was waiting, so what more could you ask for? I’m just sorry for Her Maj, she probably waited half the night for us to pass by Bucks Palace to give us a quick Royal Wave, sadly all in vain …
The route through London was great fun, meeting other MGs on the way here and there (just imagine this, in a city that size!), getting lost, back on track somehow and seeing parts of London you’d probably never go to, at least not by car, like Wapping. The company was really great, so good to see many familiar and lots of new faces to put to a name on here. And let’s not forget it was for charity, and rumour has it an impressive amount was made from this event to support Guide Dogs for the Blind!
I had the GoPro running all the way and some time (probably next year ) I hopefully will have put together a little film from it, just have to find a way to edit out all my naughty comments and cursing, like at at Uber drivers pulling out straight in front of you.
What else is to say? Well, bring on the next edition!

Re: Thames Bridges & Tunnels 2016
I echo that even though I didn't do it! Still reeling from the 2011 event!
Great to meet all the entrants at the start and people I havn't seen for ages - I managed to wave everyone away with the big flag so I think I wished everyone good luck o their way into the wilds of Central London!
I hope everyone enjoyed it, the feedback on the social media is very good, seems like you all enjoy getting lost !
A BIG thanks from the Register to Adrian, Andy and the Essex crew for exemplary organisation.
