Congratulations to everybody who made it to the Calendar. Most of my pictures are of other peoples MG's so I'm glad Dave got one of my TF alongside his and a lovely location for those of you who don't know it, the famous Flatford Mill in Suffolk.

Re: REGISTER PHOTO COMPETITION- THE WINNERS
Well done Adrian, nice shot...I have tried to capture a sharp image like that of mine trouble is having someone else driving your car back and forth...lol, I only entered as a late entry, so just got in on time, glad one of my entries made it into the calendar, runner up, well that's a nice bonus too.... Nice to see a lot of photos entered ...I do tend to take a lot of photos these days and my top choice ... Barring mine of course, lol.. Would have had to be. Simon's. I have always thought , he is able to see the photo before he frames the shot....if you know what I mean.... I always look forward to seeing his results.. His slight edit here and there makes the perfect print

Re: REGISTER PHOTO COMPETITION- THE WINNERS
Thanks Damien, as you may know I'm not a Photoshop fan, I only create the picture in the camera. I deliberately wanted to take the scene, not just the car as it was a perfect frame where I stood. The chances were getting it too fast or too slow therefore rendering the car out of focus or the water stopped before explosion, I was lucky as I had no time to practice. Dawn could have driven our car through a couple of times but I knew the pack were right behind me so I jumped out and stood in the water to get the effect I wanted. I shot all of the cars going through but I felt Jeff's was the best and, do you know, it's a rare car as it's a Trophy yellow standard MGF, NOT a Trophy 160.
Most of my pictures are other people's MG's, I'm happy doing that.
Thanks too Steve

Re: REGISTER PHOTO COMPETITION- THE WINNERS
I know I will probably get shot down for making this remark/comment but I will make it all the same.
Its says on the forum "We are looking for your digital photos in printable quality that represent the F/TF throughout the seasons and have been taken during the past 12 months" how does a dog at the steering wheel fit into this? I would have possibly ordered a copy but this dog picture has totally put me off.
I’ve got my flack jacket on ready for the bombardment from other MGCC members and MGF Register Forum members, sorry but I like to say what I think.

Glad you asked the question Steve, as I have been asking myself the very same question regarding the picture

Re: REGISTER PHOTO COMPETITION- THE WINNERS
Because it has an MGF in it which is the main criteria - the seasons was a guideline and not all entires stuck to that. This one included. It was judged independently and the judges considered it a picture that was unusual enough to warrant as one of the winners. Jan loves her dog as much as her MGF and that shows in the photo. It's a nice little pic.

Re: REGISTER PHOTO COMPETITION- THE WINNERS
Hi Tim, thanks for your explanation, I read what it said on the Forum as being exactly what it said, I didn’t realise that the criteria was so flexible, had I known I have hundreds of photo’s of my F and TF that I could have submitted but didn’t because they didn’t actually represent the seasons, I would have submitted several entries had I understood the entry criteria, but according to what you are saying, unfortunately I totally misunderstood the criteria for submission.
BTW I think the winning picture is ace and completely get it, well done

I would just like to say well done to everyone, great pictures, and Louis says thank you very much for featuring him, he enjoys all the MG runs and his MG friends who seem to love him as much as I do ..
For those he has upset, he is very sorry and promises not to pee up your wheels, but to give you a great big doggy kiss and he hopes you can forgive him for being such a Super Star

Who is upset, I’m certainly not; I merely asked a perfectly reasonable question.Softly~Softly wrote:I would just like to say well done to everyone, great pictures, and Louis says thank you very much for featuring him, he enjoys all the MG runs and his MG friends who seem to love him as much as I do ..

I agree with you some great pictures however, I still don't understand what a dog at the steering wheel has to do with quote "We are looking for your digital photos in printable quality that represent the F/TF throughout the seasons and have been taken during the past 12 months"
I also cannot see where it says this is only a guideline; you can actually send any picture with any content as long as it’s has some reference to MG.
And whether you, the entire MGCC or half the world loves 'Louis' is frankly irrelevant.
