Tim, just about to send my form in for this. Is there any recommended accomodation for the night before?

Thanks.

Stewart - nothing recommended as such but having had a quick whiz on google a lot of hotels in the area seem to be booked up already so it might be an idea to act fairly swiftly if anyoneis planning to stay over. Bear in mind it is Bank Holiday weekend - however I reckon the Ramada Kings Lynn looks promising for a one night stay.

You can book from their wesbite here.

Now then how about some other Fers venturing up or down to Norfolk for what is one of only two F Register main runs this year !!

It's an area of the country that we have never promoted a main run in before so I hope that we can get a good turnout and can fill The Green at Hunstanton at the finish for all those day tripppers to admire your MGs . :D

Making this announcement global just in case you havn't find it tucked up in the announcements section !!

Thanks for that Tim, I was wondering how to do that global posting type thing. Much appreciated :D

East Anglia is a great place to take the car for top down run on the coastal roads :D Great scenery.

Here's a picture of the beach, near the finish - where we will be parking the cars at the end of the run:

Only a month away now .....

Looking forward to this one - it's a main event run in a part of the country that we've never been to before so it's a new area to explore and within easy reach of the midlands where I'm sure there are plenty of MGF enthusiasts.

Why not make a weekend of it if you live a little further away ? Some of us are staying at the Ramada, Kings Lynn on the saturday night and you're more than welcome to join us.

Royalty at the Sandringham start , sunshine (hopefully) , lovely countryside, excellent seaside public finishing point at Hunstanton , trophies for best car , friendly eFFers ....what more could you really want ?

Links to the application form at the beginning of this thread - don't delay getting that application in and make your donation to the Norfolk Hopsice charity .

This is our annual charity run and we want to make as much money as we can to donate but we can't do that without you.......... :thumbsu:

Yep the Ramada is the hotel of choice of this event :)

We completed the final test run yesterday - under similar bank holiday conditions - i.e. it will be sunny and top down weather :D

The good news is that run (through the best twisty lanes and roads that Norfolk has to offer) avoids all the traffic, which you can sometimes get on a Bank Holiday weekend. We didn't get stuck behind any caravans :D

At Hunstanton itself it was very busy, as it is a popular place on a bank Holiday weekend, with lots to do. Our cars will be the centre of the event so join us on this fantastic run. :D

I have some pictures from yesterdays run to entice you:

Right, we are getting some information finalised now...

Starting point will be here (postcode PE35 6EN for Sat Navers)

Aim to get there for 10:00 am for a 10:30 depart. If you want to look round Sandringham you are more than welcome, but make sure you pick up a route book before you leave. :)

The destination is here

Cliff Parade Hunstanton (PE36 6BQ)

At Hunstanton we park up on the green for lunch / chilling out / checking out the sites etc :thumbsu: You won't miss it, there will a load of MG's there (unless you beat both Sean and my cars there :o :? ) and there will be Council officials in Hi Viz directing the parking.

There are plenty of places to eat / drink at the destination, but if you wish there are loads of great pubs on route as well. :)

More detailed instructions will follow in the route packs, plus the customary tulip diagrams :D

Cheers

Not long now until this one - interesting roads there Jon - Looking forward to it.

The weather is great this bank holiday weekend and will hopefully be ideal for getting out and about on the next one so you really need to get booked in to this one NOW.

Remember it's all for charity as well as having a great time in your MGF/TF. Tickets will start to be sent out this weekend so don't delay your application any longer !!!!

Entry details have been sent out to those who have applied - don't forget this is our annual Charity Run so a lot of entries would be nice to raise as much as possible.

With only a week to go it may be a bit late to get your application in but you can turn up on the day - if you can let us know by posting here or e-mailing events@mgfregister.org if you intend to do that it would help a great deal !!!

All are welcome

By the way the Ramada is full up for double rooms but had some singles left .We'll be meeting there on the saturday night if anyone wants to pop in for a beer or grub even if you havn't missed the boat on booking a room. :D

Excellent - see you there Sean !

Fingers crossed the weather forecast is not telling the entire truth - still we'll have the new MGF Register Gazebo which is waterproof and has sides - hurrah !

Personally I never believe the BBC so it will be lovely and sunny and I'm packing my bucket and spade.

Just seen the weather forecast - sorry Tim, it's the same on all channels. They are also predicting gales - so you had better make sure you have some nice strong rope tp tie the gazebo down. Never mind - it's the company that matters.

Just checked the met office forecast. Lets hope it is very wrong for Sunday. Well I do believe though, the only good forecast is when you open the curtains and stick your head out the window to see what the weather is doing

Saturday forecast looks nice and sunny so a quick trip to Hunstanton may be called for to see the finish in the sun :D

just looked out the patio door, cool breeze but nothing too threating! had quite a hot day here in Norfolk today, have spoken to the Borough Council today and have been told that a brass band is playing in the bandstand on the green with us also the RAF are putting on a display on the green across the road from us.

Gales what gales we dont have them here in Norfolk! ;)
see you soon
Sean
