THE AUCTION WILL CLOSE at 6pm MONDAY 9th SEPTEMBER

The Register has been given a personalised MGF number plate held on a retention certificate .

We would like to offer this number plate for sale by auction on this forum to raise funds for the MGF Register and MGCC's chairty for 2013, MacMillan Cancer Support.

We are very grateful to the Club Member who made this generous donation and hope that we can raise a good sum for the charity to thank him.

Rules of auction

The auction will remain open for six weeks from today closing on Monday 9th September at 6pm.

There is a reserve price on the number plate.

The number plate will only be sold if that reserve price is met and exceeded.

All bids via a PM to TimM if you wish to remain anonymous or post your bid directly on this forum thread if not.

The PMs will be checked daily at 6pm and the figure entered on the forum on your behalf.

Registration fee of £80 to be paid by the winning bidder and is NOT included in the sale price.

Winning bidder to make the donation to the MGF Register's Just Giving charity webpage.

Surely this number must be worth more than £150? considering ALL the Money goes to the Macmillan Cancer Support.

Just wondering if there are any closed bids sent via PM to Tim? if so have they reached the reserved price? I have a feeling it can not be far away...

Thought I might give this a 'Bump', as the 6th September is coming up fast, would be great to see a Member of the Register purchase this very special number P6MGF, rather than it being sold on 'Ebay', remember ALL proceeds go to the Macmillan Cancer Support, it's such a great helping charity.

Thank you for the info, all I am trying to do is raise more awareness and interest in raising more funds for such a wonderful charity, and truly it would be great if a member were to purchase via this forum.

Now do we have any advance on £400 for this famous and well known number plate - why is it famous and well known you may ask - well thanks to a photo shoot a couple of years ago it keeps popping up in magazines......in fact it is featured in a three page spread in the current edition of "Classic Motoring".... to put this number on your own MGF/TF you'll need to put in a higher bid though...........all for MacMillans as well !
