MGF Register Annual Awards: 2014
The MGF Register's Annual Awards are approaching.
They are on the 22nd March at the Four Pillars Hotel, Abingdon. To book your place at the dinner please book via the online shop http://www.mgfregister.org/shop
We need your help in looking for nominations for some worthy recipients in the following categories:-
Tanswell Trophy for the Member of the year
Priests Trophy for a Significant contribution to the MGF Register
FasTForward Trophy for the best article in FTF during 2013
Brian Griffin Sports Trophy for a person who epitomises sporting endeavour of any type with their F/TF
ICHBABDA Trophy for the person who really could have had a better day !
Best MGF/TF of the year.
Special Awards - for anything not covered in the above !
Please send any nominations or suggestions to the chairman as soon as possible or in any case before the 7th March so we can organise engraving of the trophies in time for the awards dinner.
Any nominations can be voted for by the committee if no obvious winner comes from the nominations but final decisions as to recipients will be made by the Chairman.
You don't have to nominate in all categories, so please forward your nominations to me as soon as you can.
You can find details of previous winners on our website here - MGF Register Awards
So get your thinking caps on and send your nomination (with reasons) to chair@mgfregister.org

Re: MGF Register Annual Awards: 2014
Nominations close later this week on the 7th for the awards, so you still have a few days to put any suggestions into me for the winners for 2013.
We can't promise a red carpet for the winners at the Four Pillars at the awards dinner like at the Oscars but hopefully the recipients will enjoy the trophies awarded to them for the next year

Re: MGF Register Annual Awards: 2014
Our awards dinner was held on Saturday night down in Abingdon.
The Four Pillars did us proud for the food, Julian Whites introduction to the Chinese and MG was eye opening, Tims quiz definitely broke the ice on each of the tables, and at last the award winners for 2013 were announced. A list of award winners is below and more details will be supplied in SF or FTF when I have got over this fun but tiring weekend.
The winners for 2013 are
Photographic competition: Simon Davies
FasTForward Trophy for the best article in FTF: Rob Bell
Brian Griffin Sports Trophy: Colin Beckwith
ICHBABDA Trophy: Stuart Blease
MGF/TF of the year: Dave Kerley
Special Awards: Adrian Clifford & Dave Tynan
Special Awards: Simon & Julie Davies
Special Awards: Martin Smith
Priests Trophy for a Significant contribution to the MGF Register: Nigel & Jo May
Tanswell Trophy for the Member of the year: Neil & Barbara Rushton
The awards were presented to the winners who were there by Julian White, General Manager of the MG Car Club.
For those winners who were not at the dinner, I will work something out to get your trophies to you in the near future.

Bit of an unexpected shock to receive an award. Many thanks to everyone who nominated us. Pleased to say the glass trophy made it to Somerset in one piece

A big thank you from us too for the special award. The glass awards are lovely and an honour to receive. Thank you Keith for organising a great weekend. You did us proud.

Well that was a surprise - thank you very much for the nomination and the award.
Keith if you like - bring it to Silverstone. I'll be there on the Saturday.
Or Pride of Longbridge - should be there for that

Re: MGF Register Annual Awards: 2014
It was another fantastic Chairman's Weekend and well done to Keith for hosting his first AGM as Chairman.
Congratulations to all our 2013 Award Winners .
Thanks to Julian White for his informative talk on MGCC and China
We had a clear winner for the Quiz - well done the Abingdon Table!
Do we need another award next year Neil? I'm still trying to work out what HTPUWBED means !
