MGLive! review & MGLive! in the future

Post by Keith Williams » Mon Sep 05, 2016 7:06 pm

The Kimber House team as can be seen in the CRB Bulletin are interested in members views on MGLive!
Both the good and the bad and how we can move the event onto bigger and better things.

There is a request form to fill in with your own views.
The MGLive! organising team is keen to get as many views as they can from members to help improve MGLive!

Areas for discussion:
1. Which features should we keep unchanged at the current event?
2. Which features, that we currently have, need reviewing?
3. Any new ideas that will interest Club members and may broaden the appeal of the event?
4. What can we add to the event to attract those members who do not currently attend?
As we intend to present the output of this exercise at Council, together with work that we are carrying out at Kimber House and at Board level, we would ask for your input by the end of September.
Thank you in advance for your help in reviewing our landmark event.

Please respond to Lauran Gallacher at lauran@mgcc.co.uk

If I could wave a magic wand : -

It would go back to a 3 day Friday to Sunday event and wouldn't use the Grand Prix Circuit, this would entice the MMM Racers back (we get a MMM grid with approx 30 MMM MGs at the likes of MGCC Brands Hatch in May, including from overseas) this is afterall our heritage. There would also be no non MG races. Ideally a T Type trace as well, like the good old days!

Snoozebox would get their act together to!

Ideal world I know, but you did ask :D

Another idea may be to have either the traditional 1 big event with the whole year's work in one show but not always in the same place or why not spread the net for all of the countries MG owners and have a "Northern" event as well as the "Southern" traditional one. This should increase the choices of all enthusiasts everywhere!!

Is there an online version of this form?

The best way to collect the most feedback would be via social media, but a word file would be a nightmare to manage.

Perhaps the free version of Surveymokey or similar could be used?

No online form I am afraid. Any comments or thoughts to pass back to Lauran, please just use the document above.
Any survey forms can 'lead' peoples responses. This way, the topic headings are just given for people to give their own responses which hopefully may get good feedback on what is being done right and what needs altering at MGLive! in the future.

I've shared a link with one of the major facebook groups, hopefully that will grab more responses.

We can agree to disagree on online forms / surveys ;) lol
