Chairman's Weekend 2017
It is with pleasure to announce the 2017 Chairman's Weekend on behalf of the MGF Register. The weekend will once again be in the historic home of MG's in Abingdon, at the stunning location of the Crown & Thistle Hotel, of which is a 400 year old Grade II listed Coaching Inn just off the Market Square, which the main focus for the whole weekend is that of a social gathering of our good friends in the MGF Register Family:
For 2017, there are two options available for the Saturday part of the weekend:
Option One - Saturday ~ Buffet Lunch, AGM including refreshments & fresh fruit, Evening 3 Course served meal & Awards, Overnight Accommodation in luxury bedrooms, Sunday ~ Full Breakfast, Entry Fee for one car for the Chairman's Drive Out Day. All in package of £190 per couple. (Book direct with the hotel as the poster!)
Option Two - Saturday ~ Buffet Lunch, AGM including refreshments & fresh fruit, Evening 3 Course served meal & Awards. No Overnight accommodation. £35 per person. (Book via Register shop). Premier Inn etc are in Abingdon at approx £110 per room.
Sunday ~ Chairman's Drive Out Day for those not doing Option One is £10 per car (Book via Register Shop). For those doing Option One, please still register for the run on the shop but follow the instructions and it will set the fee to £0.00.
The link for the Option 2 and also the registration for the Sunday Drive Out Day is http://www.mgfregister.org/shop/14-events
I hope that is clear, but please do not hesitate to contact if you have any questions at all via email thames.valley@mgfregister.org
Here's to a great, enjoyable and fun weekend together

Re: Chairman's Weekend 2017
I have been advised by the Hotel that there is one room left, and will be on a first come first served basis!
Please also remember to book your place on the Sunday run (selecting the Crown & Thistle option) on the MGF Register shop even though this is included in the full weekend price.
Got to keep those pesky MSA Bods happy.....

Re: Chairman's Weekend 2017
Big vote of thanks to Ian and his team for a brilliant weekend - very well organised with an excellent hotel last night and a picturesque (except for the fog on the hills...!) run and a brilliant MGF pop-up tea room at the finish with an excellent array of cakes courtesy of Angie and her helpers.
Thanks also to Keith and his committee for their presentations at the AGM and for all the hard work that they do for us in the background.
See you at the next event.
Paul & Donna

Re: Chairman's Weekend 2017
As already has been said, Ian and co did a great job over the weekend.
It worked out really well and the hotel looked after us really well. I think the idea of a complete package for the weekend worked out well.
The road run, I really enjoyed. Pity about the weather but it took nothing away from the enjoyment other than the views. I needed the underside of the car washed anyway
Really enjoyed the pop up cake shop, a big thank you to Angie & Ruth for looking after it and I think I tried most of what was on offer. That was one bonus of missing out on breakfast. The caves were worth a visit and that church, I am glad it was good when I got up there as that was one steep hill to walk up.
A really good weekend ... roll on the next one.
