Hopefully the weather will give us a good day out on Saturday and Cofton Park will dry out after the heavy rain we are promised today in the Midlands.

There should be a good turn out of Midlands cars. Some of us are meeting up on the M42 Tamworth services for a cross country drive to Hopwood (see Midlands section) and others are going direct to Hopwood. Always a good turn out of cars and a great mix of vehicles at the Longbridge event.

Hello Murray, If I leave home (Bexhill) approx 06.15/30, I should be at J2 M40 approx 08.00, that should mean we will at Cherwell at approx 09.20, was going to come in my ZR, but now having second thoughts! might be out of place, however if it is raining i will use the ZR, Damien if you read this, that will answer your question to me. Murray you must take a photo of your LE500 outside the Longbridgre factory, Have you been before?
Look forward once more to meeting you all,

Hi John, funny you should mention Damien, we spoke only yesterday!, I would normally go via the M25 to M40 from Bexhill, but would be willing to divert to meet up with others, could meet you at the junction of M3 / M25?

John, I had a feeling that the M27/M3 may be a bit out of your way just as is the M3/M25 for us.

If you go M25/M40 as normal we could meet up with you and Damien at Cherwell Valley services which is just off J10 of the M40. This would make an ideal meeting spot for those coming from the South East and those of us coming from Hampshire/Dorset and places en route ready for the drive in to Hopwood. Its about three quarters of an hour from Cherwell to Hopwood Park so if we aim to leave Cherwell at around 0930 that should leave us plenty of time to allow for Saturday morning traffic.

Paula, if you want to meet up for the drive up, as there aren't too many stopping places on the M27 and M3 I guess the best place would be Rownhams services. Allowing for traffic and a departure time from Cherwell of 0930 we would probably be looking at a 0730 start. Let me know.

Stewart, where on the A34 is it best to collect you from?

7.30 at Rownhams it is then :o

See you at 0730. It's only just occurred to me though that I'll be coming at Rownhams from the wrong direction. I'll be facing the wrong way. I didn't really think that through did I?

Don't worry I'll be there at 0730 facing the right way. :thumbsu:

Sorry to say, but I am dropping out of the run this year. A couple of hours with a shoe on at the Essex Roadsters meet last night has shown that the Gout has not fully cleared up, and despite keeping my foot elevated today it is still damn painful. Also the tablets from the doc have left me with a somewhat delicate stomach and I'll say no more on that matter.

Hope everyone has a really good day and the weather holds out for you all. I thoroughly enjoyed last years event and found it a real trip down memory lane.

Just got back.

I have to agree it was a thoroughly enjoyable outing although MG Motor were conspicuous by their absence.

Great to see everyone.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's photos. I'll sort mine out tomorrow. Too tired to do it tonight.

Next stop Windsor. :thumbsu:

A fantastic DAY!, great weather, good mix of NEW, Classic and Vintage cars from the stable of Longbridge, A great line up of 'F', 'TF' and a 'Hybrid' multicoloured 'F' :) May I thank all from the 'F' register for making my day, and in particular to Murray and Damien for meeting me on the way and making the journey even more pleasant, must admit i did feel out of place in the 'ZR' but i did enjoy driving it, still not sure how the lower the roof, but i am working on it! must be in the handbook somewhere? :) HOW on earth did Colintf get the photos of the production LE500's?, did he find a hole in the fence?

Hi John, It was a pleasure to escort your new ZR up the M40 Murray and I were like two spitfires escorting the lancaster lol....! As regards lowering the roof I will bring my chainsaw in the boot just incase you have problems finding instructions in the handbook... cant promise it will look the same when you try putting the roof back on though..! I have not made a longbridge page yet but did run into a few grey TF owners and have put this page together
