Re: Oulton Park MGCC race day - 9th May
Was a good days racing and the weather held out
Paul Luti's LE500 did well splitting up the ZR190's in the first race even though the car was real 'skitterish' on the track. He was doing even better in race 2, until there was contact between four cars resulting in the safety car been deployed, race early finish and 3 ZR's 'written off' with Paul's car with another damaged front wing like Donington. Think he will be using up the entire spares of front wings for the LE500. oopps!

Re: Oulton Park MGCC race day - 9th May
to quote Brian "Testing on Friday at Oulton was a waste of time and effort.Due to the very cold weather and cold track conditions. Paul could not get any heat into the slick the most we saw was 48.7 C and they need to be.up to 70C min and are at their best at about 100C. This led us to try lots of springs and damper setting all we seemed to do was get further and further away from a balanced position. Due to the problems at testing we qualified badly at 8th. In the first race the car was pitching and bouncing like a pogo stick and I am surprised that Paul got round in for a whole race without bouncing of the track. For the second race we improved his set up having watched the car on board video . The car was much better in the second race Paul getting the fasted lap until an incident causing us some front wing damage which caused Paul to stop. "
