Post by John W » Mon Sep 07, 2009 7:18 am

Hello All,
Anyone from the 'F' register booked for this event? full details and entry form are on MGCC SE Centre events web page, the start point is Bell Public House Godstone, the route driving through Surrey, Kent & Sussex guided by 'tulip diagrams' with suitable coffee and lunch stops, a total distance of approx 80miles, OR we could make up our own start points and routes, so we all arrive together, bye the way prices are as follows. run from godstone £2.00 per car, entry: nat trust member (children free) £2.00 per person, non nat trust members £8.00 per person (includes Uppark House and Gardens.) Venue is on the South Downs, Nr Petersfield, West Sussex
regards

It's a great location and if you've not been to Uppark before it's fascinating to see the exhibition about the restoration following the fire. You can still see the singed floorboards in the house as well.

We'll be in Sunny Scotland though for the South East visit north of the border.

Hi Adrian and Andy,
Thanks for the back up :) I have sent in my booking and paid the start point fee of £2.00, plus the house/gardens entry fee £8.00, this according to the blurb on the MGCC SE forum site guarantees a 'Rally Badge', but the main reason for booking from the start point was to go with other people, BUT I can join both of you somewhere else if required?
Look forward to hearing from both of you, would it best to PM me? then i can give you my tel no
Regards

If I do I'll start from The Bell as it's only down the road...

Will have to see whether all the family want to come - now I have the F and a ZT I have a choice of MGs!

I'll be there in the F, with my youngest. It'll be her first proper run in the car!

Would like to join in on this one BUT not sure if we can get the Green Squirrel out in the morning as we have a 'half marathon' running round our estate and the roads are all being closed to traffic at 07.00 hours. If we can we will come direct and as we are NT members we might just go in to their car park and wander round to you later.

As I said it will depend on the time they 'let us out' :sf:

BTW the run is the Run to the Beat Greenwich half marathon - great fun if you are intent on killing yourself

Great event and we also had lots of sunshine, nice to meet once more Andy and his son, Murray and his wife, Richard and his son Nick, DWP and Little one, Great turnout of early right through to a '59' reg LE500, supplied by Sterling MG of Eastbourne, if fact there were 3 MG supplied by Sterling, the run from Godstone was a little eventful, just over 90miles in total, left at 10.00 and arrrived at venue 13.50!, overall as i said a wonderful day.
