Ted,

I think they will continue to sell empty Chinese promises to the gullible.

It is stunning the number of people who are prepared to take the nonsense PR blurb seriously despite the number of promises they have failed to deliver.

Perhaps now SAIC have been instructed to take over the hopeless NAC shower by the Comrades in Peking, things will improve. (could they do any worse?)

However I will only be impressed when there is Longbridge tin in the shops to test drive.

For those who enjoy analyzing nonsense then I can recommend the kiddies' MG forum where you will find vast numbers addicted to generating drivel from Chinese PR!

Cheers

Patrick

Tis the season of good cheer and glad tidings, is it not!

It sounds more like Bah! Humbug.

Merry Christmas

Very possibly David, but NAC’s performance has been profoundly poor in all things but sprouting nonsense PR blurb. The only tangible output from Longbridge in close on 3 years was a single F displayed at Silverstone. My suspicion is that Mike Satur could have managed that it a weekend dressed only in a blindfold if he had been given free access to all the bits and bobs left in the Longbridge site.

I am now so old that I understand words are cheap and the only thing that really matters is delivery. Perhaps the kiddies on org will realise this to when age injects a small amount of wisdom into them!

To end on an optimistic note, perhaps we will actually get some in 2008. (Delivery from our Chinese chums AND a modicum of wisdom on org….). How is that for a dose of unbridled and irrational optimism?

In the meantime I hope you and Veronica have a wonderful New Year and look forward to seeing you again on the excellent Highlander in the spring (together with Ted, Karin and the other regulars!)

Cheers

Patrick

No no no; very irrational Patrick, the Chinese might well deliver stuff for IKEA assembly but wisdom on chavotar dot org - wilder than fantasy. ;o)
