I do not know of anywhere so Festive as the Blue Lias at Stockton for a Christmas Meal.
Last year the food was very good and the Company Excellent.

I would give The Herons Nest a Miss as my Lamb Pie was like tough stewing steak.
If The BL is not Bookable for 12th, then any evening is good for us except 7th as we will be in the Cotswolds in lieu of a Register Dinner.
Maybw we should pass by the BL to check that it is still Open with the same Hosts.

I have crossed the Stag off the list after seeing the Chrismas menu, which I wasn't ovely impressed with.
The White Lion at Radford seems to have a better xmas menu (has turkey and xmas pud on the menu at least) but its not as festive as the BL, so will perhaps keep it as plan B in case we cant get in at the BL.

So who else is joing us? and are theye any specific dates you can't make? (JIC the Blue Lias is fully booked on 12th)
(AlanRT - Have no problems with moving it away from a Wednesday so Julie can join us)

Have chosen the night the most people can make, so table has been booked for Thursday 13th at 7:30pm.
